Pine Tree
I came across a pine tree on my walk today. Just a few weeks ago, I learned that you can make soda from the pine needles. You can also steep the needles to make tea. It’s good for colds. I haven’t tried it, but was happy to learn something new.

@Kristen Russell oh no that's awful. Cat pee smell is not a fun smell. Fingers crossed you can find good pine. I have a pine in my backyard that spent it's early life in a drawer before it was saved and planted outside. So far the jars smell great but no bubbles yet it's early 💜

So I finished fermenting. The pine is so delicate while the elder berry ginger is pretty strong. Im definitely going to make this again

I love being out in the woods with my dog hiking and exploring. I find nature absolutely fascinating and want to learn more about the plants around me. Here is Bo who thinks he's part goat

@Melanie Weird he really is the best. I can't wait to get back out in the woods and explore with him. I'm so happy to be a part of this awesome community 💜
Sycamore tree 🍁FLC🍂
American sycamore (Platanus occidentalis) is a deciduous tree native to the eastern and central United States, known for its distinctive exfoliating bark and big maple-like leaves .It thrives in moist, soils but can tolerate a range of conditions. It gets 75–90 feet tall and lives 200-400 years. Like maple, it can be tapped for sap to make syrup. The seeds are non-toxic to humans but I haven't tried eating any yet. There's some traditional medicinal uses for sycamore but I'm not informed on those. Cool tree! 😁👍🌳
