Excited about HEALTH this week!
“The greatest wealth is health.” ~Virgil Happy Monday, friends! ☀️ I hope you’re here today and ready to get your mind prepared, set your intentions, and follow through with them this week! Remember, every day is a new opportunity. Every day. Notice the quote above doesn’t say, “The greatest wealth is being thin,” or “The greatest wealth is looking good in a swimsuit,” or “The greatest wealth is being cellulite free.” No, friends. It doesn’t say that. You see, wealth isn’t found in any of those other things, and the reality is that true health also doesn’t mean “thin”. I want you to strive towards better health, friends! Health is THE greatest wealth – and when you’re healthy on the inside, your external goals follow! ✨ We’re wrapping up our glute education and diving into abs/core next week! With this week being a bit of a transition period, I want to get back to the most important thing here – true health! 💯 ⭐️ It’s going to be a great week ahead, and hopefully, it will remind you what matters most as you navigate this journey! TAKING ACTION: ✅ Comment HEALTH below if you’re committed to showing up for yourself this week. Challenge yourself to show up for the next 7 days, even if it’s only to consume the material each day!

Happy Sunday!
Good morning, and happy Sunday, friends! I hope you have plans to rest and recover today. After all, we’ve had a big month of building our glutes. Our glutes and lower bodies contain the largest muscles in the body, so after working them extra hard this month, you need a good recovery day! 🧘‍♀️ Since it’s a rest & recovery day, let’s look at how hydration/water specifically aids in your overall recovery: 💦 When your body is dehydrated, it can’t transport nutrients to your muscles, therefore hindering muscle recovery. 💦 Water plays an important role in protein synthesis. When you work out, you create tiny tears in your muscles. Your body repairs these tears through protein synthesis. Water is an important component of this process, as it transports nutrients to your muscles and aids in the breakdown (and absorption) of protein. In short, water/proper hydration is important for all aspects of muscle growth, including recovery. And remember, your muscles can’t grow if they’re not recovering. 💯 Take a moment to see what’s coming up in our group this week. ⬇️ - Monthly zoom tonight at 7pm CDT / 8pm EST - Next week starts our education on OVERALL HEALTH! TAKING ACTION: ✅ How do you plan to rest and recover today? 🧘‍♀️
Happy Sunday!

Muscle Health = Longevity
Happy Hump Day, friends! It’s the middle of the week, and now is not the time to let off the gas. Now is the time to accelerate as we’re on the downhill slide towards the weekend! 🔥 For the sake of your time, let’s just get right down to business and discuss five ingredients that support overall health, muscle growth, quality, and recovery! 🍽 ALL of your macros (protein, carbs, and healthy fats) that come from whole-food sources. We discussed this yesterday, so if you missed yesterday’s post, check it out today! Def need MICRONUTRIENTS in there, as well, from fruits and veggies, beans/legumes! 🍽 Creatine - Creatine replenishes something called ATP, which is your muscles' primary energy source. Studies show it enhances muscle growth and recovery. 🍽 Branch Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs) - BCAAs are three essential amino acids - leucine, isoleucine, and valine. They are crucial for muscle protein synthesis and reducing muscle soreness after intense workouts. 🍽 Omega-3 Fatty Acids - Omega-3s have anti-inflammatory properties that help reduce muscle soreness and inflammation after exercise. 🍽 Vitamin D - Remember our conversation about Vitamin D a few weeks ago? Who knew that it also plays a role in muscle function and recovery?! Obviously, more ingredients support overall health and muscle health, but these five seem to be the pick of the litter! 💯 This doesn’t mean you have to take supplements to build healthy muscle tissue or overall health; however, these are some ingredients that are proven to support your journey. ⭐️ Stay tuned this week! We’re also going to talk about why muscle is so important for your overall health and longevity! Because living happily and healthy to age 100 is GOALS, right?! TAKING ACTION: ✅ If you’re interested in a good creatine supplement or BCAAs, comment below, and I’ll drop a link for my favorite!
