The Lobby - Networking event 👥
Hey everyone! 🫶 I had the amazing opportunity to attend The Lobby networking event in Chicago, and it was a game-changer! 💡 Around 70% of the attendees were Area and Regional Managers from top pharma companies an incredible chance to connect with key industry leaders. If you are looking for opportunities in medical sales, events like this are a goldmine for expanding your network and opening new doors 🚪. Don't underestimate the power of the right connections! Let's keep pushing forward and supporting each other. 🙌 #MedicalSales #Networking #CareerGrowth

Networking with independent recruiters
Hey all - I just had a great chat with Blake Cagle about networking with independent medical sales recruiters. He said he got his last 2 positions that way. If you're not familiar, they are paid to match applicants with hiring managers. I actually got some interviews last year by an independent recruiter that approached me on LinkedIn. There are a ton on LinkedIn. I just reached back out to the one I talked to last year to keep my name in her head. Sorry if this is already known by everyone, I'm not all the way through the introduction modules yet. Just wanted to share!

Hey Skyler, thanks for sharing! I too have had a few recruiters reach out, any tips on how to differentiate spam or fake accounts from real recruiter accounts?

Networking Event Hacks
I recently attended a Lobby networking event in Dallas, and it was a great opportunity to make valuable connections. Here are a few things I did to ensure I made the most of it: ✔️ Research Attendees Before the Event: Before the event, I took some time to review the guest list and identify key people I’d like to connect with. I looked them up on LinkedIn and their company websites, which helped me craft personalized conversation starters. This gave me the confidence to approach the right people. ✔️ At the Event - Be Intentional and Engaging: Once at the event, I focused on quality over quantity. I made sure to engage in meaningful conversations with my top targets, but stayed open to meeting new people too. I asked thoughtful questions, listened actively, and made sure to share a bit about my own experiences. I also had my LinkedIn profile ready to share digitally, which made connecting seamless. *Use the QR Code Function on the right side of the search bar!* ✔️ Leverage Your Own Network: One of the best ways to build relationships is by offering to connect people in your network with others. During conversations, I made it a point to mention people I know who could be helpful to the other person and offered to introduce them. By being a connector, I not only added value, but also strengthened my own position within the network. ✔️ Follow Up After the Event: There were a few people I didn’t manage to speak with during the event, so I followed up the next day via LinkedIn. I mentioned something specific we would’ve likely discussed and shared my interest in connecting further. This follow-up helped solidify those connections and opened doors for future opportunities.

Hi Monica! Thanks for sharing, these are some helpful tips! How did you get to see who is attending the event? I have RSVP'd to a NSN event but I cannot see the guest attending... I did however message those who shared the event on LinkedIn and engage in that way. Thanks again for sharing 😊

Linkedin Help
Can someone take a look at my Linkedin www.linkedin.com/in/elizabeth-r-8ab19b141 Specifically my experience section....I know its very overwhelming and its basically my resume copied and pasted. How do I break that down to be more concise? I'm old so I have a lot of work history 20+years and I don't want to leave anything out but I am also realistic in that no one is going to read past the first few lines. I get the point is a brief overview and nothing more. I also would have the same question for the WTV presentation and or brag book. I just need help breaking down my experience with relevance being a the key factor. Thanks yall!

Hey Elizabeth just sent you a message 😊
In person networking
I attended my first NSN in person Get Connected event this past Saturday. While there, I realized that in person networking threw me for a loop. I get to be very targeted and thoughtful about my engagement on LI, giving myself time to think/respond or have all my questions written out before a phone call. However, I found myself more uncomfortable not knowing how to adjust with each person I approached or engaged. It may have been all nerves, but does anyone have suggestions on how to maximize the in person networking events when you don’t know who will be in attendance and can’t scope the scene/their profile beforehand?
