1st Outage-New to Nuke prep List
This covers the basics- if there is anything I may be missing let me know so the newbies getting in have everything they need beforehand. Of course this is a whole new world so it is impossible to add everything you will need to know along the way but this should be most of the upfront info needed. Considering making a video at the plant I am currently working at as RP to showcase a lot of the similar visuals you will see during an outage. If this is something you would find of value let me know and I will post it in here.

Super helpful, thanks!
Fall Outages - where are you headed?
Just curious to see where everyone is headed this fall outage season. I realize things can change last minute, but I’m curious where everyone is headed and if I’ll be working along side anyone new??? My answer is in the comments 😊

I have Prairie Island and hoping to get on Monticello. Fingers crossed!
Congrats to my fellow RP summer training graduates!
The first June class just concluded and I met a bunch of fellow Grid users there. Looks like we all passed and have become Task Qualified RP's! Feels good to finally achieve it after finding out about this job and pursuing it for around a year, including doing a full spring season of Decon edit: tips if you have a later class make sure you received 6 reach360 learning modules for rp 1-7 (5 will be missing as we don't do it yet). these are not really "classes", its more like you show up, review a module for up to an hour with Sharon, and then boom you're taking the test. it will be very hard to pass if you just show up without having thoroughly studied the reach360 lessons

Everyone in the class was awesome and I’m so stoked to see some of you again at Prairie Island this Fall as Jr RPs! Big shout out to @Michael Williams for making the Grid. Having the ability to share knowledge and resources made the whole process much smoother than it would’ve been otherwise.
How did we get here?
Hey everyone! I’m just curious to know how everyone stumbled onto this field in the first place? I was in Reddit and saw Michael’s post on the money subreddit. I’m pretty sure I was on lunch at work and couldn’t believe the amount of money that could be made and the amount of time that could be taken off. I’m at a dead end job that is barely getting me by, and I’m fortunate enough to have my house paid off. So finding his post on that Reddit thread has wildly changed the trajectory of my life (as long as things go as planned anyway lol.) Please share your experience if you have the time!

I’m a software dev right now but I’ve been looking to switch to something more interesting for a while. I saw a Reddit post as well and thought RP would be a somewhat natural transition given the logic and science involved.
If you recently passed the FUN1 - Even if you havn't taken the week long class
CALL THE RECRUITERS... I just spoke to Joey and he's sending me the paperwork for the Prairie Island gig. they assume you will pass the week long classes, so get your paperwork started. Prairie Island has a bonus for verifying 60 days prior. Thats free money for getting the job.
