A bit about me
Hi, my name is Matt, I’m from Minnesota, and I work as an IT sys admin. I have experience with all sorts of technology. You can ask me questions about: - Computers, technology in general, and my two cats I want to get these things from ADHD Harmony: - I was diagnosed with ADHD last year at age 42. I’m still trying to connect all the dots. I’m learning every day, and I hope I can gain some real, impactful knowledge here. I would love to learn anything that could be useful in my everyday life. For fun, I like to: - Lift heavy weights in a semi-organized fashion. I like taking walks around my neighborhood or driving somewhere to go hiking. - The attached pic is my youngest cat, Figaro, when he was about 4 months old. 😻 He's now just turned one year old, and he's still adorable as can be.

@Jeffrey Preciado sure! Here's a few helpful things I have written down on my whiteboard that I have on my door to my garage that I look at when I leave the house. I have issues doing things around the house. I started keeping a clean pair of shoes that I can wear inside, keeps me going at tennis shoe speed! It works! Shrink the task/Do the easy part of the task first. Set a timer, tell myself to just do 10 minutes of folding laundry or cleaning the bedrooms, whatever the task just start it.
Timeblindness - Blind as a Bat - Any ideas???
I think time blindness might be one of the hardest parts of ADHD for me… I can genuinely think I’ve got time… and then suddenly I’m late, rushing, or completely off track. It's not that I don’t care — it’s like my brain just doesn’t register time properly in the moment. I’m starting to realise how much this impacts:– Work– Commitments– Even how I feel about myself Curious if this shows up for others too? I seem to really struggle with estimating how much time a job takes me, its not so much a problem with my own personal things (as long as no one is reliying on me) - but for work, - it is becoming a problem, as I am constatnly feeling behind, and slow... and worreid my boss might thing - "she is past it" - I thought AI might help me, and I feel like it has, but I am still feeling the pressure of being slow 👉 Does anyone else struggle with time blindness? 👉 And more importantly… what’s actually helped you manage it (even a little)?

I need to have reminders and timers set on my phone and watch. If I'm at home, then I'll tell Alexa to start a countdown or an alarm.
