Retention for kids / babies… parents tend to not stick with it once the kids are better. Germany is not big on chiro for kids, many paediatricians are against it and the common consensus is to take your kid to the osteopath not a chiro. But I want to push my paeds side of the clinic more now as I have new associates which gives me the space to concentrate on even more babies/kids.
Case: female 33yo with chin paresthesia
Hey Gang, I’ve got a patient who presented in November with long issues of breathing difficulties/chest tightness/rib pains since a stressful phase and viral infection end of 2023. I’ve treated her intensely including the breath protocol and pretty much all her symptoms are gone apart from these “random” chin pins and needles. She told me about it at our third treatment that the onset of this was roughly three months after all the other stuff started. It’s not disabling but now the other problems are gone it feels a lot more obvious to her. It was constant and has changed to on and off since chiro but it’s not improving much otherwise!? And I basically have no idea where it’s coming from or what kinda connection could cause this… I’ve done cranials and also trigeminal nerve related structures etc as well but no major obvious stuff going on. Thanks for your help!

@Simon Floreani yep will do
Toe walking pelvic primary
This is a sure sign of high cord tension. Best managed with adjustments especially to the sacrum and pelvis. In this case a classic S2 and hip ultrasound after the birth that was inconclusive. Crawling was assymetrical and Bottom Shuffle. Now walks with one pointed toe. Now has a learned gait pattern with no Calf tightness or hamstring tension. Physiotherapy for 3 months has recommended Botox injection in the calf. Adjustment plus ankle boots have incredibly high outcome rate. Parents are also doing the windscreen wiper horizontal walk retraining exercise I will add as a separate video. Adjustments schedule is 3x week 2 weeks then review. Video record progress every 3 days and boots to be worn all day every day, horizontal walk stretch with each diaper change 5 repetitions each side.

Thanks for sharing. She’s quite wee :-) did you use the “adult” S2 wedge drop on her?

C7 Spinous fracture management!!
lower cervical stiffness and arm weakness with limited shoulder range of motion. Previous chiro would not touch her due to the lower cervical spinous process fracture. No traumatic incident. I explained that the fracture is not as big an issue as the cervical ribs. We introduced gentle anterior adjustments to the T3PL and did scalene/ ganglia sweep. She was extremely nervous about manual neck adjustments so that is all we did after the report. Immediate return of shoulder range and decreased kyphosis. She has agreed to a gentle but frequent schedule of care 3x a week. We will work toward introduction of upper levels in the neck whist taking pressure off the already strained lower neck.
