Our baby boy has arrived — and @Jaclyn Parras and I are beyond blessed, thankful, and yes… completely exhausted. 💙 This is why we do this. This is why we train. This is why we fuel our bodies and sharpen our minds. So we can live strong, long, and present lives — not just for ourselves, but for the people who matter most. Every rep, every meal, every drop of sweat… it’s all about building the strength and resilience to show up for our families. Thank you for being part of our Ignite family. I’m not stepping away, but I’ll be slowing down just a little this week to soak in this special time. If it takes me longer to reply, know it’s because I’m right where I need to be: with my family. Stay strong. Stay focused. And remember why you’re doing this. — Alex & Jaclyn

But to be fair That was when I was rowing, I was INTENSE, committed, and had a pure OBSESSION, which honestly was so much fun while it lasted (8 years, I don't include college bc I actually had more balance back then). It has been a long unwind for me but I believe I have found that magical balance of being fit, yet staying present and open for what life has to offer outside of peak physical performance.
🧠 Mindset Challenge of the Week: “Discipline Over Motivation”
Motivation fades. Discipline shows up. This week, we build the habit of doing hard things — especially when we don’t feel like it. ✅ Your challenge: Every day, do something uncomfortable that pushes you forward: – Cold shower – Early workout – No snooze button – Meal prep instead of takeout – A tough convo you've been avoiding Whatever it is — show up anyway. 📍Post each day in the Mindset Discussion Board with what you conquered. Let’s show the community what real grit looks like.
