What does everyone do to clear their mind when feeling overwhelmed?
For me, it’s journaling. I get everything down on paper, which helps me organise my thoughts and create a plan of action. I see journaling like this: when your mind is full and everything feels overwhelming, it’s like all your washing is tangled together in the tumble dryer. Journaling is taking it all out, folding it into neat piles, and putting everything back where it belongs. That’s exactly how my mind feels afterwards. I also love yoga, meditation, and walking in nature, they all help me come back to myself. I have attached some weekly prompts if you would like to give it a try, you can learn so much about yourself! Let me know how you get on!

@Melissa Fuller I sometimes braindump ideas. Then I journal on each of them. I think the difference for me is, jounalling helps me to make sense of things as it requires asking myself questions.

@Pod Guesters Many people find committing to daily meditation difficult, yet it is so relaxing. It is as though we think relaxing is not good for us!šŸ˜’
When the fear of failure becomes self fulfilling amd how to interupt that cycle
There is no worse feeling than knowing your own value but being so paralyzed in such fear of failure that you can't even share your offer with others to help them grow and prosper or better their lives. Whether you have a niche skill-set, or hobby, whatever your wisdom and passion is, you've traveled the rocky road already and could offer new comers a smoother path, but how? How, when you are so paralyzed by fear and by the impossible idea of perfectionism that you just can't seem to ever attain? The fear that says you won't ever be able to reach the audience you want to or get the response that you hope to attain? The idea of failure has you stuck in a perpetual circle of writing and writing and erasing and writing again and erasing more until you can't even stand to look at the paper in front of you anymore without wanting to scream and shutdown entirely? It sucks. There's no other way to express that feeling. But it doesn't have to be that way. Nor should it! You should be able to feel accomplished, valuable, and worthy regardless if you believe you have "succeeded" or "failed". And really, as long as you have accomplished or learned ANYTHING, then you havent failed. The trick to avoiding failure paralysis is to STOP SEEKING PERFECTION. You are not perfect and never will achieve perfect as a status. And that is ok. No one is perfect at anything. Thats the beauty of learning and sharing wisdom. There's always someone further ahead than you and there are always others further behind where you are now. So sit down, breathe, think of what you are good at, write it in a few simple statements. Don't go in depth yet. After you have identified your strengths, this is the most important step: just DO THE THING. Talk about it to at least one person or a camera with no one else ever to see it. Practice allowing yourself to speak from a place of passion and love. From a place of wanting to help others and remembering where you came from. Its not an overnight mindset shift, but every day you practice letting go of the illusion of perfection, the closer you get to your true self and sharing you authentic value.

A moment of accountability
Today I did not want to wake up. My 8 am alarm came....then the 9am....then 920...then it was 10 am and I was still in bed. By 1054 I knew I havd to do something and get moving or I woukd get nothing done today Forced myself out if bed, put on fresh clothes, and opened up the "eat the frog" meeting just in time for midway check in. I vowed to step out of my comfort zone and make some short form videos. I have 21 planned out so far.... In that remaining hour and the half hour ater I successfully: Recorded the first video, then reformatted twice for an A-B-C test. I then uploaded all three of those to instagram. Then I recorded my 4th full legnth lesson for my community classroom and also uploaded that. The other 18 short form videos are already scripted out, so I will make the second and third set of three hopefully tomorrow. Now I am mentally preparing for my doctors appointment in two hours, and later today I will respond to all notifications and DMs, as well as make a few posts in my community.

@Alison St. Romain I love this!
Making videos - need direction
Good morning! I want to record video lessons to go along with my content. Being a former special education teacher, I am all about learning styles. Currently all my content is texted based. I want to make a video that is texted based with someone reading and highlighting the words as it's being read. I am sure there is software for this - I need to find it. Second dilemma, I want to make a teaching video, where I teach the lesson - here is the issue. I have hearing loss and there are some words that I literally cannot pronounce because my brain cannot process certain sounds correctly. I feel like I am getting hung up on this and that it's not that big of a deal. My client's at work are aware and we often laugh when I can't say a word and I get them to say it for me. I can't do that in a video lesson. Thoughts on how to resolve this? Thanks!
