Favourite keeper
Unsure if this has been asked recently but who is everyone’s favourite keeper playing at the moment? Personally I really rate Sunderland’s Robin Roefs - I feel he has come from nowhere this season and been outstanding! Also watching the champions league last night Courtois is still pulling off outrageous saves!
When your son comes to watch you play… and for once it’s not the other way around
This weekend something unusual happened. For the first time in a long while, my son came to watch me play. We usually have a very early kick-off in the morning, and normally he stays in bed (which I completely understand 😄), but this time he made the effort and came to the match. We lost the game, unfortunately, but I was happy that he could see his dad making some good saves, even if we couldn’t get the result. After the match, it felt strange because usually I’m the one asking him about his games — what went well, what could be improved. This time, for once, the roles were reversed… although he didn’t ask me anything, so I had to ask him myself 😄 I asked him what he thought, and he said I couldn’t have done anything about the two goals. One was a great header into the top corner, and the other was from a corner, a rebound, and even offside. But the funniest moment was when he described one of the saves. It was a 1v1 from a bouncing loose ball, perfect for a chip. I came out quickly, jumped, and made myself as big as possible. The striker tried to chip me as I expected, and I managed to stop it. My son said:"You came out and opened yourself like a monster going after him… he got scared and finally he missed." That made me laugh. It’s funny how they see things differently — and special, in a way, to be watched and “analyzed” by your own son for once. I just wanted to share this moment with you all.

Training
With all the cancelled matches and keeper training sessions I have been doing a few sessions with Ivor to keep him sharp. This was a bit earlier in the year, but I have only just got round to putting the clips together. We worked on handling, recovery saves, closing the angle and some general shot stopping. Ivor wearing his J4K 3G gloves.
