Week Ahead
Alrighty. Play times over for the long weekend. Hope you all enjoyed it in every way possible for your reality. Whether pool days with the kiddos, golf with an old friend or simply relaxing on a hammock, we all deserve a break. This is a pivotal moment in your current fitness/health plan. Week 1 is no different than week 6 or 27. Consistency is everything. Your next workout... is probably going to suck. As will the following one. (unless you were behaved this weekend like me 😇. Last weekend I was a menace so I promise this post is from experience) Get those 2 💩 workouts out of the way as fast as you can because the longer you wait to get it done, the more challenging it will be to bounce back. You can either cruise through summer and half ass your workouts and not really see much happen or you can say fuck your feelings/mood and stick to the plan. Crushing the summer is easy. It starts with crushing consistency. Up to you homies. How many workouts are you getting in by Sunday?

@Tylae Westervelt let's do it! I wanna smack a 300yd drive by the end of the year!
HUMBLED
Little backstory here. I've grown up playing multiple sports through college. Then went on to long distance running and weightlifting in my 20s so I've always kept in good shape. But since covid I really haven't been able to get consistency with my workouts until starting this program. I just haven't had that competitive push to keep me training. With that being said, tonight my girlfriend thought it would be fun for me and her 13 year old gymnast daughter to see who can do the most crunches non-stop. I got to somewhere in the 70s before tapping out and looked over at her laughing and giggling at me as she went on to do 320! At that point I reached into my wallet. Handed her my man card and the keys to the thermostat until I can beat her. She's my new reason to pull my butt out of bed and hit the gym with a purpose. Roast me as you will but just know that somewhere out there...a 13 year old is ready to show you how it's done and laugh in your face while she does it 😂😂

@Fredrik Andersson sorry I just saw this but right now he's got me working mobility and gains in the gym and I usually play a round or 2 of golf every week.
I Am Privileged
I am blessed to have a remote job and a coaching job 2 miles from my house. Truly blessed. I know this. This is why I don't force feed you all "anyone can do it if I can" when we first chat about nutrition. I meet you where you are at and just hope to be a guiding light in the correct direction fo YOU as an individual. That's the thing, you are all very different and have unique challenges. BUT, those challenges are at least similar to others in this groups challenges. That is why I hope we can continue to work together, share recipes for busy parents or perfect bulking foods for those doing so. Simple hacks for golf course snacks or what to get at chick fila when your kids want to see that damn cow! We are all in this together.

Hello peeps. First, happy Sunday. Hope your weekend was filled with rest, recovery, some shenanigans and more. I want to reiterate that I am going to really start focusing on bringing those in this community as much value as possible. Value that will help really drive home the things we talk about on calls, or I preach to you via week ahead texts. These truths to my training methods that have helped many of you and continue to help my new people. I want to be a coach that leaves a lasting impact and hopefully one day you don't really need me anymore. (That's the point of a coach, from point A to point B) I want you to learn why I train you the way I do but also continue to be the guiding light for you in the mess of the new age fitness industry. SO, I need to know what topics you would like me to touch base on in the coming weeks. I am putting more effort in content, but for you all, not social media. That rabbit hole trap is me just spinning my wheels in the mud and I want to bring more value, not just fitness challenges (I'll continue these, I love them) and silly rants. So please vote, comment some ideas, the more specific the better and I will get to it this week. Thank you to all those who continue to engage and be a part of this, your presence is noticed and will be rewarded with you continuing to climb out of the shitty coffee ranks ;)

I chose workout tips because I tend to fall into the same old routine doing the same basic lifts/movements and enjoy learning new ways to train and challenge myself.
