Snacky after dinner?
If you feel the urge to snack right after dinner, it’s usually not a discipline issue. Most of the time it’s one of three things dinner was low in protein carbs were pushed too low earlier in the day you’ve been sitting still and scrolling, not actually hungry Your body isn’t asking for “more food.” It’s reacting to blood sugar changes and routine. One simple thing that helps a short walk after dinner. Nothing intense. 10 minutes. Around the block. It improves glucose handling, settles appetite signals, and breaks the habit loop. Not a rule. Just a useful tool.

This is good to see… It is so me lot of times after eating I find myself walking around the kitchen, looking for something more. Preferably junk so thank goodness I don’t buy that stuff anymore. It makes sense.
Win
First week down and I'm feeling good about my consistency! Planning my meals, meal prepping, and planning my workouts has been a big help! Anyone else want to share a win?

Thanks for your encouragement, Amanda I am carefully planning my weekly schedule. I just have to make myself be motivated. Water was also a huge challenge for me many days I drink none. So now I’m at least two. 48 ounces a day.

For three weeks now I’ve enjoyed having my warm water first thing in the morning.
JAN 3 CHECK IN
Consistency doesn’t mean doing everything. It means doing something, even when it’s not perfect. What’s one thing you’re willing to keep consistent today?

Water was always a challenge for me because I defaulted to soft drinks I’m happy that I am off the soft drinks and I’ve learned that drinking room temperature. Water is better for your body to absorb than cold. And somehow easier for me to drink also.
Under the weather
I’ve been fighting a cold and the weather was rough today. Nothing felt ideal. I still got out for a run in the rain. Not because it was impressive, but because it was enough. Consistency doesn’t always look like high energy or perfect conditions. Sometimes it’s just doing the thing anyway, scaled to how you feel. If today hasn’t gone how you planned, it still counts if you showed up in some way.

That’s very encouraging… I hope you’re feeling better
Jan 5 Focus
One of the biggest drivers of energy isn’t what you eat, it’s eating consistently enough. Long gaps between meals, skipping earlier in the day, or under-eating tends to show up as: • low afternoon energy • cravings at night • feeling “off” without knowing why Today’s focus isn’t perfection. It’s not going too long without fuel. If you want to participate, answer one of these: • Which meal is easiest for you to stay consistent with right now? • Which meal tends to get skipped or rushed?

I have to agree with this. I’m just not a morning person so getting up and preparing a breakfast is more challenging.

I’m excited to find healthier habits as I hope to retire and be fit for hooking up a camper and see where it takes me 🚙💨
