Building foundation
I’m a beginner in calisthenics, and right now I’m focused on building a strong foundation. I’m doing push-ups, squats, chair dips, and I’m also trying to work on pull-ups by practicing negatives. I’m currently doing incline push-ups, but regular push-ups are still difficult for me. However, I can easily do 30–40 reps of bodyweight squats for 3 sets. Can you give me tips on how to improve my push-ups and suggest other good exercises to include? Since bodyweight squats have already become easy for me.

Great start - you’re building the right foundation! Push-ups are tough at first, but keep doing incline push-ups, slow negatives, and plank holds to build strength and core stability. Once you hit 5–8 clean push-ups, progress will come faster. Since squats feel easy now, challenge yourself with jump squats, lunges/Bulgarian split squats, or pistol squat progressions. Add in Australian rows for pulling strength and hollow body holds/leg raises for core. Just stay consistent—push-ups and pull-ups get much easier with steady practice By the way I'm just getting here can we just be friend?
