Improve outbound flow
Hi All! I've been wondering about something and I'm curious to as what your experiences would be. Obviously we are all here cause we know that cold calling works, BUT... All my outbound efforts are currently manually building lists and calling them. This means that I leave other channels almost completely untouched. I spend some time on social selling and Linkedin but that goes pretty slowly tbh. However, I leave cold emailing completely untouched. I was wondering as to what your experiences are with including cold e-mail outbound to your cadence or outreach strategy? (Lemlist, for example seems interesting) To me, it seems like I could reach way more people than JUST calling. Am I missing something? Looking forward to your experiences!

Go past the gatekeeper
What’s your strategy to go past the gatekeeper when you don’t know the name of the prospect you’re looking for? Do you ask for the β€œperson in charge of X”? What objections do you get and how to overcome them?

My opener is more or less based on the cold call wiki from this community. "Hi [name], This is Kelvin from [Company]. You're not gonna like what I'm about to tell you.., but this is a sales call! Want to hang up right now or give me 1 minute to tell you what it's about?"
Show up rate
Been struggling with show up rates to meetings after cold calling has anyone implemented anything which genuinely improves conversion rates? Let’s have a discussion πŸ‘

I think that up to a certain extent, you can't avoid no-shows. Like people mention here, a short reminder or follow-up call or email before the event might help. I think this also depends on what level you're selling. With all due respect, but if you're selling into smaller businesses or owners of these businesses with 1-5 FTE, imo they tend to be a bit more disrepectful with your time as if you'd be selling into enterprise for example.
Professionalism vs Humour?
How do you guys stay professional whilst being playful/ funny on cold calls?

@Johannes Berger Yeah, sometimes! Sometimes it's also a witty comment about something they have said earlier, later on in the meeting. It's funny, but also shows that I've listened to them. Could also be something I've seen on their Linkedin for example. Essentially it boils down to a cheeky or witty remark here and there.
