🎉 100 Members Strong! 🎉
This past week we stealthily crossed the 100 member milestone and I'm so so excited for it! A couple of you reached out about it (thank you!!) and @Chris Wendt 's post here100-members means so so much to me... This milestone belongs to all of you! It truly does! Thank you for showing up, contributing your voices, sharing your experiences, and helping create this space into what it is today. I never anticipated how this little corner of skool was going to take shape and I am so so truly thankful for it and for you all. A gift that I never knew was needed and didn't see coming. My heart is overflowing with joy. The connections formed and nurtured, the conversations sparked, and the growth truly wouldn’t exist without your willingness to engage and support one another and me. This community is possible because of you-your presence, insight, and energy matter more than you know. Thank you for making it the special space that it is. Here’s to what we’ve built together so far, and to everything still ahead!!!!💛 Excited!!!!!

Congratulations on reaching your 100, you so deserve it.
We all have purpose! :)
You guys! Go check out this amazing post/poem by @Karen Hamilton Here:we-all-have-purpose I know we have some creative writers in this group! Please feel free to also share your art with us and definitely check out Karen's work!! :) -------- Purpose is typically built through engagement by doing things that create a sense of meaning, contribution, or growth over time. Waiting to feel inspired before acting usually keeps us stuck. Most people often don’t lack purpose; they lack clarity, direction or movement. Action clarifies values and values clarify action. Discomfort reveals what matters and responsibility can create meaning. :) :) -----------

@Benjamin Ross ourselves is a collective term implying more than just ‘you’ which is what you would be doing starting with one person at a time. ‘Myself’ becomes ‘ourselves’ and you’ll never grow your community to a level you need if you only focus on your own in my personal experience. Bonding and creating relationships who support eachother is the key to creating engagement where both parties feel valued and seen

@Benjamin Ross exactly that. I’ve noticed the same
🚩The 5 to 1 Rule: Psychological Math You Need for Healthy Relationships (Negativity bias and Loss Aversion)
Our brains are not neutral...ever wonder why one negative comment can derail your whole day while getting positive feedback barely does anything? Why it can be difficult to try new things? Why losing $20 feels worse than winning $20? Why breaking a stream feels more painful than maintaining it feels joyful? This is the brain running on 2 psychological pathways that happen automatically: The negativity bias and loss aversion. Negativity bias means your brain gives negative stimuli preferential treatment. The amygdala fires more rapidly and intensely when it detects anything potentially threatening or painful. Positive events register, but they simply do not activate the same level of neural intensity. So negative experiences feel more intense. Then, loss aversion doubles down. From a cognitive standpoint, losses are viewed as more significant than gains. The psychological “cost” of losing tends to outweigh the psychological “benefit” of gaining, even when the events are equal in size. Your brain would rather avoid the pain of losing than pursue the pleasure of winning. This means negative experiences have more gravitational pull in your mind. Let's translate this to relationships. The Gottman's (gurus on relationships who have tons of research on this) give us the example: In close relationships, you need roughly five positive interactions for every one negative to maintain stability. This ratio is not arbitrary. It counterbalances the heavier cognitive and emotional weight that negative interactions carry. A single critical comment activates both biases, so the positives must come in higher volume to keep the system regulated. 5:1!! That's some weight! But, having a ratio like this, tells us that we CAND do something about it: these biases may be automatic, BUT we can work with counteracting them a bit. We can strengthen prefrontal cortex regulation through intentional activities such as savoring, recognition of micro-moments of connection, naming strengths, repair attempts, and cognitive reframing. Basically being on the lookout for the good.

That’s why I’m finding the communities here on Skool so beneficial. So much positive engagement and communities which evenly weigh the scales in balance or even tip the scales in the positives favour. Great, informative post here thankyou

We All Have Purpose
Here is a poem I recently wrote when I needed a gentle reminder of the message contained. I hope it helps someone else see and believe this too. We all Have Purpose I hear you ask how you follow your dreams What dreams are yours but they’re yet to be seen How can they be seen when you don’t believe Believe in yourself, all you can achieve We all have purpose as hard as it seems It seems our lives have been ripped at the seams Sew the seams up and learn how to live free Free from your prison, let your dreams lead We all have purpose, there’s something within Within yourself not the rut you’re stuck in Don’t talk yourself out before it begins Begin your life’s lessons, growths how you win Step outside of your box, push yourself far Farther than comfort, at least make a start Start working on you and look to the stars They’re shining on what God placed in your heart Don’t be held captive by all your mistakes Mistakes are made to evolve into great Greater humans, know it’s never too late Too late to reflect, to see what’s at stake You mustn’t give up on what you can do Do and become to become the true you The you that God doesn’t want you to lose Don’t lose yourself, open doors and walk through Whatever those dreams you want in your life Live to your fullest, you’re made to survive Survive the setbacks so whilst we’re alive We’ll live and believe that Gods on our side We all have talents, there’s some buried deep Believe you’re enough and go take that leap Let’s leap to our futures, the lives we seek Are out there waiting, right in our reach Karen L Hamilton
