Tuesday Subtleties
Today on your walk, draw your attention inwards. To your core. Notice the quiet strength in your core as it keeps you upright. Intentionally engage your core muscles. Hold yourself a bit straighter and taller. You can even take a quiet moment for reflection or contemplation, taking mountain pose. Engaging your core muscles whilst out walking contributes to strengthening them. (mornings here are cool and dark, but once the sun is out, it's warm!) Best for your Tuesday 🌻

@Laura Mcgahey I was just slouching when I read that. Hah I definitely notice it for myself while walking and sitting. It’s a constant practice. And I value reminders! ✨
Saturate Your Mind Saturday
💡 Did you know that Spontaneous Movement triggers creative thought and mental flexibility? Allowing yourself to move intuitively—a quick jog, a skip, or a quicker pace down hill —helps break up rigid thinking. Aha! No wonder we feel a sense of expansion and lightness when we step outside 😊. Happy Saturday, to you each! 🌻

I followed our dog around our property this morning, amongst the trees and along a trail, and ended up having spontaneous movement and a spontaneous walk overall. :)

I just missed joining this! Glad to have the replay to watch. It was good hear your comments, @Nick McGahey , about maintaining momentum. I was able to walk in the AM everyday in August but have not been able to do so everyday here in September. This is partially due to not getting up early enough to walk when I have spontaneous early morning commitments (we’re building a house and contractors showed up earlier than we expected). I’m trying to get the momentum back. I’ll try sticking to a consistent walking time, like you mentioned, @Laura Mcgahey. I find having all my gear ready in the morning is also important, cause I just loooove sleeping in (even 5 mins). I am really enjoying getting out in nature within the first hour or two and miss it when I don’t stick to it. Thanks for this call/chat and opportunity to reflect and reorient! :)

@Laura Mcgahey Oh you’re totally right. Connecting to the feelings/benefits to get me out of bed as the winter comes. Good point!!
Fun Friday
"Life is worth living as long as there's a laugh in it." — Lucy Maud Montgomery Notice times and places where you can sneak a smile and embrace laughter. Sometimes we are just too serious... and embracing joy in-the-moment helps to lighten our moods. 🌻

I can identify with this one. I find our dog Hugo gives me the opportunity for spontaneous smiles and laughter. Grateful for pets with personalities! ;)
