Introduction - late ADHD, kiwi in Oz
Hi, my name is Jane Tweedy, I’m from Western Sydney, Australia (formerly from Wellington, New Zealand) and I work as an executive coach (PCC), small business coach and trainer. I have experience with many things career and business, and less experience with navigating life well with ADHD, as I was diagnosed last year at 53 after 4 years with Long Covid so unable to mask anymore. You can ask me questions about: - Anything business - marketing, pricing, websites, SEO, leadership, Whole Brain Thinking, business strategy and planning ... for which I'm now building in an ADHD overlay. - Career questions - Destinations like Australia, NZ, Cook Islands and other Pacific Islands I want to get these things from ADHD Harmony: 1. Make it easier to start tasks (task initiation) 2. Actually complete tasks 3. Prioritise better For fun, I like to: 1. Swim and snorkel - especially while holidaying on islands with tropical fish 2. Volunteer (have done since 6 years old) 3. Socialise - business networking, BBQs This is a pic with my partner on holiday in Rarotonga, Cook Islands, one of my favourite places in the world.

@Deb Brouwer Kia Ora (or Kia Orana 😉). There another Travel Guides episode on Rarotonga this week so I'm guessing more Aussies will become aware and fall in love too. Yes here for the challenge, just got to wait till then! Cheers
Anyone else struggle to stay consistent with things that actually make money?
I’ve noticed something about myself recently… I can get excited about ideas (real estate, online income, etc), start strong… but staying consistent is where it gets tricky. Not because I don’t know what to do but because my focus shifts fast. What’s been helping me lately is simplifying everything into very basic systems instead of trying to “do everything perfectly.” Like instead of overthinking, I just focus on: small actions daily low-pressure setups things that don’t require too much mental energy Curious - what’s something you’ve found that actually helps you stay consistent?

I didn't invoice for completed work at all in the first quarter, and I realised it was because I was punishing myself for all the things I hadn't done for other people, and for myself. So many half to three quarter finished things. Looking forward to this challenge.
Distractions
It is so easy to get distracted … earlier today my daughter told me that she went into her online banking app and was going to send her friend some money that she owed her. She saw a transaction that she had done and then went onto the website for that company. She was scrolling in their online shop and looking for birthday presents for her sister, when she realised an hour had passed and she had completely forgotten to send her friend the money. She takes after her mother! Why is it so easy to get distracted and go down a rabbit hole? Is it the internet and the huge choices we now have. I do not remember being like this before the internet, maybe I was but don’t remember. What do you think?

@Tuuli Gress haha I actually do this out loud, and then still get distracted, stop saying it and says later, oh no not done again!!
