Great Job!
Today's session with @Hope Kantor and @Ed Bady went amazing ! 3rd online session with Ed and he as made AMAZING progress from where he started day one - now performing exercises unassisted! Hope is able to achieve the technique without heel assistance and we are able to pinpoint things we need to advance! Thank you both for working with me :)))))

Oh my goodness-THANK YOU!!!! I love your support and also your honesty. With your support, honest assessment of my needs, and encouragement, I mustered up the courage to arrange talk to someone about taking a peek at what is going on inside these knees and ankles. I have been avoiding this for years actually. So stay tuned for an update! Today I will go to Capoeira class, a roda, and then do two performances. I will do all of the self-care massage steps that you told me to do each night. I look forward to doing this all pain-free in the future. From what I am reading from everyone here...it is possible!

@Desmond Willoughby thank you! It is so great to hear about the details of progress. Our bodies love when we love them! (I have to remember this!)
Dedication + consistency= Results
After 7 sessions, I’ve made great progress! Initially struggling with 10 squats using assistance, I've now increased to 20 squats without any aids. No joke. First 2 sessions I was struggling doing more than 10 & that's with the assistance of squat wedges & hands on table. Now I'm up to 20 with no assistance! The technique I've been learning has definitely helped me in my day to day typical movements from getting up from a chair to picking up a object from the floor.

@Erwin Hewitt yep...I am aware of all of this and super appreciate the reminder. I love love love wearing my CGM because it keeps me honest. I am becoming more aware of portion size and am working on the "just right" amount of carbs and protein. Right now, even too much protein can convert to glucose and lead to higher blood glucose than I want. I am a human science experiment on a mission to keep those AGEs away! Most of what I have is top notch. A few foods that I know are problematic are still going into my body a few times a week. I am exploring my need/behavior in this area. I'm in the process of replacing these with substitutes that are more in alignment with my health goals. I had a long history of rebound dieting and using food to self-soothe. I am in the optimizing phase of using food as fuel and medicine but am not 100% there yet. I don't want to be orthorexic, but I do want to have my body free from inflammation.(Can we just take tortilla chips out of the food supply lol?) I have a healthy relationship with food now and arrange my environment for my success, but that was not my history. My journey of being and becoming in alignment really started two years ago, so I know I will get there. I'm sustaining 25 lbs of weight released and am still going down while building muscle.

@Dr.Evelyn Szeinbaum Thank you!!
Being your own worst enemy
A lot of pain, soreness and weakness. Is not just from injuries , working out or overuse, it can and most of the times is metabolic in nature- as in what you feed yourself. Remember that foods you eat that breakdown into sugar ( carbs ), seed oils and chemicals not meant for human digestion lead to inflammation in the joints. The pain you feel might seem “ random “ to You but you’re body may not like what your taste buds do!

Yes! 1 in 3 people have Prediabetes and most don't even know it! If you have Prediabetes, your body is not handling the food you eat. You may be having glucose spikes without even knowing it! High glucose courses thru the body and creates a mess. Even people without Diabetes can have glucose spikes. I'm so glad you are teaching this. We are socialized to pick up food that harms our joints. Every day is a new day though!

Staying out of pain is a pretty good one right now! Your modeling and teaching, including your postings of all of the amazing upper body strength exercises are massively inspiring to me. You show the actual behind the scenes work that it takes to become what you are. That, paired with support for breaking the work into small, just right steps is such a gift to us. Thank you!!
Reduce lower back pain.
By squatting more! Bending at the hips multiple times day can put extra strain on the lower back! if you need to pick things up from the ground lower than knee height, try to make ti a habit to squat to pick it up. Make it second nature and it will become easier and easier over time.
