Another one off my list, the latest addition to my Spicebomb collection. If I can get the Infra red before The years end I'll be a happy guy. All that left after that is to find two extinct flankers, the Eau Fraiche and the Infra red edt which was also discontinued. Initial thoughts on first spray, this one is missing the spice so far, it's more of a green/Amber initially. There is some pepper in the background, but it's a supporting role. Interested to see how it develops. Still a nice scent, will definitely gets it's fare share in my rotation.

I have 3 from that line. Original, Infrared, and Night Vision.
Premium Store Brands
Ever so often a premium store brand will score big in the fragrance department. For example, Sorbino (a premium Italian retail men’s brand) has a winning record with their fragrances, in my opinion at least. The only down side is that they rarely stay in production beyond one year. Two years maximum. They have had 2 fragrances come and go that I absolutely loved. Both were very unique and quite dis-similar from each other. Recently I came across a store brand that was new to me. Gutteridge. An Italian company with Scottish Roots and a robust history dating back to 1878. They offer a cologne line with three fragrances to choose from. My favorite of the three is simply called Gutteridge Green - due to the packaging. Which is quite stylish and attractive. Gutteridge Green is a fragrance built around the precious notes of Bourbon Vanilla, Oud and Benzoin, revealing a strong, balsamic character. Hints of amber and woods provide depth and warmth. The result is a fragrance that is opulent, complex and rich in contrasts. Made in Italy and retails at an average of 60€ for 100ml. A scent worth every Euro cent.

My Issue With Knockoffs (Change my Mind)
I've been collecting fragrances since I'm in about grade 5 in the USA. So, 10 years old. I started with the predictable options. Brut by Faberge, Old Spice, and yes, British Sterling. I even had a bottle of Pierre Cardin which is high level for for a kid of 10. However, by Junior High (mind you this is the 80s) I had moved up to fragrances of more substance and yes - a healthier price tag. Polo and Santa Fe were my go to. Both in the $30ish dollar range at the time. As years have gone by I've grown more and more sophisticated in my purchasing and even in blending fragrances to achieve a scent that is truly unique to me as an individual. That being said, I'll make my point. Were I on a lower budget, yet still wanted to smell good, I would take a low budget designer brand fragrance over a discount store/street vendor knock off. Sure, they may be a bit more bland and less complex. But in terms of dry down and longevity, I have found that a low budget brand name option is going to outperform a knock off in intensity and longevity on any day - or evening. Especially when I can blend two fragrances to achieve something more unique and complex than a single fragrance by itself giving the air of a more expensive option on a shoe string budget - and nobody is the wiser. However... I've been reading about this Dua line of imposter fragrances that are getting really high praise. Who uses Dua and what has been your experience? I'm open to explore.

My absolute all time favorite is Bois Mysterieux by Guerlain. My close second is Boss by Hugo Boss. There are tons of others that I love. My most unique fragrance is Zino by Zino Davidoff. The fragrances I wear most are Patchouli Ardent by Guerlain and Terre D’Hermes (Vetiver) by Hermes.
