How identity traps Your Potential - Steve Magness
I found the two types of passions breakdown very interesting - obsessive and intrinsic. Steve is the author of the book "Win the Inside Game", which @Danny David is reading now and I highly recommend for some of the mindset discussions we have had in this group. Would love to hear the thoughts of this community on this topic. Have an awesome Monday!

Thanks for sharing! I struggle with this a lot and I have burned a few relationships when I felt others were not as passionate as I was, or as obsessed with trying to be the best in the fire service. And I hold myself to such a high standard that I never gave myself grace to fail. Going back to the John Cena podcast though, he talks about that everything in life is an opportunity, and if he would have set his goal solely on being the world champion, he would not have enjoyed the journey (and great career) and been grateful for all of the “happy mistakes” that happened to him along the way
Anyone read this yet?
I came across this listening to a podcast recently. If anyone’s read it I’d love to hear your takeaways from it and compare.

I don’t read too good so so I listened to it on audible haha It was a few years ago but I really enjoyed it. I related because I was still recovering from surgery after tearing my pec and I was trying to find my old self who could complete the simple skills of being a fire fighter like throwing ladders, dragging victims, or pulling hose. I learned to embrace the grind and repetitive motion to get back to the firefighter that I was before the injury. It’s a good read (or listen haha)
100 Push ups a Day
The 100 Push ups a day Challenge! This isn't about the push ups, as much as it is about saying we are committing to something and completing the task. 100 push ups a day until our next live call on Dec 9th. That's 29 days where you will do 100 push ups a day. Now, you can do 100 at a time or break them up into whatever set amount you want (example 10x10). Whoever completes the 29 day challenge will receive a REWARD!!!! If there are multiple individuals who complete the push ups and follow the RULES we will draw a random winner. RULES: 1.100 push ups a day (break them down anyway you may need to complete 100) 2.Comment to this post with the day (example Day 1) keep it on this thread 3.Post your sets it took to complete the 100 push ups (example 10x10) That's it! Let's get this done and have fun and continue to grow with each other!
