I wish people understood this about strength training/weighted
I started training calisthenics 1 year ago and I was hopping around the influencer programs like 2 set method, Mike isreatel, thenx etc. But whatever I did, my progress felt slower than other peoples' I looked at myself in third person and thought about what i was doing for a couple days. And i realized that I didn't have a clear goal in mind making me bounce around hypertrophy/strength/skills And so I decided to dive into weighted cali for the strength where I got some newbie gains in the start but it still felt slow. I thought about it once more and I thought of a solution Why am I training like a bodybuilder and following advice from them if my goals are strength gain And so started my journey on researching powerlifting I started learning about all the terms and programming and I've officially found what I was looking for. I dont understand why social media still pushes the bodybuilding style training for strength training. this powerlifter style training is so good. the secret weapon is periodization where you vary the stimilus to force your body to adapt because if you train the same thing every week your body will catch up and not grow because that's what it was meant to do: save recources, not waste them on 1RMs Thats all I have to say
I wish people understood this about strength training/weighted

Building foundation
I’m a beginner in calisthenics, and right now I’m focused on building a strong foundation. I’m doing push-ups, squats, chair dips, and I’m also trying to work on pull-ups by practicing negatives. I’m currently doing incline push-ups, but regular push-ups are still difficult for me. However, I can easily do 30–40 reps of bodyweight squats for 3 sets. Can you give me tips on how to improve my push-ups and suggest other good exercises to include? Since bodyweight squats have already become easy for me.
