Keywords
I know there are certain words that Amazon wants you to avoid, like 'book' 'free' and 'amazon' as keywords, and there are others. My quandry is, I am writing a parenting book and speaking of device use, many parents want their kids to go 'screen free' and so that could be a great keyword phrase for me. What would you do, when the actual subject has 'free' in it?

There are plenty more, depending on the subject matter. There are entire industries that cannot use KDP for anything. Think of anything that is a vice cannot be used and anything the AI will read as violence enhancing or weapons.
WD: What conversation do you hope your book starts?
The best nonfiction books get people thinking, talking, questioning, or seeing something differently. What are people having conversations about after reading your book?

Choosing the right gun for the sport they are interested in. Also, getting the reader comfortable with talking to the gun counter folks.
Working with a Small Budget. Best Tips & Tools to Use?
Hey everyone. I've been lurking for a few months. I watched most everything I have access to and am looking for any advice or recommendations on formatting my book. I am using Reedsy, and I see limitations with it. Just realized I will need more than it can offer. I am self-publishing on a small budget. What are your recommendations?

@Rob Cole Rob please keep us updated on this software. I use Designer mostly because I already have it. It lets me import PDF saved Word docs and does a good job, but it does have a mind of its own that I get tired of fighting. Someday when I grow up I will learn how to use all the expensive stuff that comes with my Adobe package, but I have not spent the time and dedication to learn that yet.
Off to the Editor!!!!
Hey guys, I finally sent my draft to my editor!!! The question is what should I do next??

When I started working with my first editor it was in a textbook I wrote for the school I was the education coordinator. Right off the bat it was a little uncomfortable even a bit uneasy as she and I felt each other out and built trust and understanding. It's the understanding of what each other that will be the biggest difference. What I suggest is the first time you truly interact with one another it's not on the text itself, but on something like the outline so that "feel out" phase is not on the text, I think things will be much easier and smoother after that.
Finally Book page + book cover together 🎉
It took a while until I was able to fine tuning in a way I was pleased about it. If you are curious, please check it out. I totally get it that it may not please everyone. Actually. I know that lol. Life is about choices and I have learned a long time ago that trying to please everyone unpleased me. So as long that I am happy, people with similar interests will find me. Cheers 🍻 https://www.rogermagalhaes.com/book/nobody-told-me-that/

I really like the webpage, keeps my attention and is laid out to make me want to keep reading. The pictures of your journey really tell the story the text is laying out.
