Cool Goodreads Signature
Heh. I just got an email from someone and they have a dynamic Goodreads email signature which shows what they're currently reading! That's pretty cool. Anyone else use one of those?

Oh that's very cool! I had no idea that was a feature.

Hi Jill! You are absolutely welcome here! Let us know what you're writing and where you are in your journey.
Do This!
I tell everyone; I’ve said it once, I’ve said it 100 times, and I’ll keep saying it forever. Read what you write, THEN, re-read it out loud. Say the words you have written as though you are reading your story to another person. I guarantee you will be shocked with what you hear, and the immediate improvements you can make. I don’t know why it works, but it always does 🤷‍♂️ So get reading out loud and see what you think? 📖

One of my editing rounds is always using the Read Aloud feature in Word. I find so many small errors that way.

If you’re in sales engineering, SaaS, consulting, or any role where you present complex solutions, this may be useful. Key takeaways include: - Cognitive sequencing for modern demos - How to reduce cognitive load - Presentation structure based on learning science - Proven techniques for clarity, momentum, and engagement If you’d like to check it out, here’s the link: https://a.co/d/6s9JeAi

Very cool! Congrats!
Layout in MS-Word
Update: I’m hiring someone to do the layout in InDesign. Am I crazy? I've always used Vellum for layouts, but I want a design that is more complicated than the software can handle. I'm looking at getting someone to do it professionally, but I prefer to keep control of the text so I can make adjustments in the future without having to go back to the designer. So I am playing around with MS-Word. I took a really fast attempt at it and this is what I got. It would need fine-tuning. But before I spend more time on this, I wanted to make sure I'm not going down a path that I might regret. Thoughts? Thanks!

Hi Stephen! I think the design looks great based on what you attached. Just ensure that the gutters and margins are where you want them. I think formatting in Word does take a special skill, which is why I always use Vellum since I don't have the patience to learn (ha!), so hats off to you for making it work.
