This routine will guide you through beginner-friendly core-strengthening poses, with some gentle lower-back release movements along the way. Enjoy, and let me know how you get on! ☺️
Awh that honestly means the world to hear! 🥹💖 Eight months is such a long time to be dealing with that kind of pain, so the fact you’re already noticing relief is amazing and it's a huge testament to you showing up and listening to your body. You’re absolutely right.. building gentle strength + flexibility is the most powerful long-term protection for your lower back. We’re not just easing the pain — we’re building the foundation so it doesn’t return 🙏🏼 Keep tuning in, keep moving at your pace, and if anything shifts or you need adjustments, drop me a message 🫶🏼
@Jj Vee Hi JJ! Yay, that’s such great news — I’m so happy to hear you’re feeling better 🤗 Pain-free after such a long time is huge, so well done for committing to the routine for those 3 days. That’s your body responding to consistency, and you should be really proud of yourself 🩷 You can absolutely stay in some of the positions a little longer if they feel good. You don’t need to count seconds — let your breath guide you. If the movement or stretch still feels supportive and your body is responding well, it’s okay to remain there. Let the position feel like a place to pause, rather than something to “achieve.” Use your breath as your main guide. As long as it stays slow and comfortable, with no sense of strain or urgency, you’re supporting your body rather than asking too much of it. The most important thing is how you feel afterward. If you come out feeling lighter, freer, or more at ease — especially when you move or walk later — then the length of time you stayed was exactly right for you.
Discomfort = okay Stretching = okay But sharp pinching in hips, lower back, or knees? That’s your cue to back off, modify, or slow down. Yogalates is about longevity — not forcing poses. What’s one movement you’ve realised feels better when you dial it back a little?
@Jj Vee Yesss absolutely! Hamstrings respond so much better to slow, controlled stretching. When you ease into it, the muscles actually release instead of fighting back. Love that you’re tuning into your body like that JJ 💪🏼🤗
Your breath is your built-in reset button. If a pose feels shaky or your mind feels busy, slow your exhale — it instantly relaxes your nervous system and helps your muscles switch from “tense” to “open.” One breath can change the whole practice. 🧘♀️ Have a great day 💛
