A worthy decision..indeed
Just want to share a little something on my progress....i have been dieting now for about 3 years.. 🫤 Year 1: It was slow and i gave up a few times... 😪 Year 2: Did it alone no support, only from my son who encouraged me when doing home workouts 🤪..ate in an unhealthy way..eating less than 1000 calories a day..doing 18:6 intermittent fasting..working out at home 6/7 days a week with a hectic job as a Secondary school teacher..i did lose about 20kg-21kg within less than a year very quickly..but it was frustrating and i was not my best self socially..avoiding delicious foods and just avoided going places... **Stopped baking for my son and niece..i used to spoil them with the little treats...but what changed was my niece told me i was no longer the "fun aunty" because i avoided doing certain things with them to avoid food..it broke my 💔 and im her only aunty... 😊Year 3: Needless to say that was when i was like "no" i cant live like this... then boom 💥Beginning of 2025 got sick had to stop everything..gained about 7kg back 😒i was near giving up when a reel popped on my IG feed with @Darren Liu talking about making eating fun and losing weight sustainably..and i dont know what it was but i was like ok lets see what else he has to say...gave a follow ...... **Suffice to say that was a great decision..not only have i been able to let go of the bad eating habits and actually learn to enjoy counting calories....enjoy working out 3/7 days a week...enjoying some treats and seeing progress...😊 **Thanks to this community😊 i did something i said i would never do, which is to buy a food scale..because you see online people showing soo little amount of food when measuring...i was not optimistic about it....but i did and its made things easier and I'm more aware now...and frankly i enjoy it i treat like a little game each time i weight, adding it all together 😁 and seeing that i can maintain my deficit and eat healthy...and my weight has gone down more this month with that...

Husband’s Birthday Dinner
Today was my husband’s birthday and I knew we had a family dinner at an unknown restaurant. I wanted to plan ahead so I had a high protein low calorie breakfast and lunch with a protein bar on the way home from work. I wanted to not be too hungry and overeat at dinner. The restaurant was not picked until I was on the way home so I was guessing as to how to plan ahead. We ended up at Tepanyaki Japanese Steak House for dinner. I had the salad, bone broth, some of the fried rice, and tenderloin steak and could not finish my meal. I was stuffed. In the end, I got all of my protein in and did not overeat calories. I even skipped desert today and had left room for the birthday cake and/or ice cream. My calories even ended low, but I am too full to eat anything else. So I am going to call it a win.

The most boring fat loss tool… that works stupidly well 🧠
Skool peeps, I’m going to ask you a slightly annoying question… What if fat loss wasn’t stuck because of your diet?? 🥲 What if it was something way simpler that most people ignore because it feels too stupidly basic? I recorded a Loom 🎥 about the habit that quietly fixes plateaus for a huge chunk of people I coach. And before you guess… It’s not: ❌ Fasted workouts ❌ More cardio sessions ❌ Eating less donuts It’s something that changes how many calories you burn every day without feeling like exercise. When people dial this in, I usually see: - Fat loss restart without changing calories - Better energy - Less pressure to “diet harder” - Less joint and body pain - Less hunger It’s extremely unsexy, which is exactly why people skip it. But once it clicks, mannn the changes. 👉 A lot of you already have this dialed in, but if you want the breakdown, comment MOVE and I’ll send it over. If you feel like you’re doing everything right but progress is slow… this might be why. I’ll even explain how you can lose 1 lbs a week with this habit without changing your food!

Day 0 Goals!
Hey guys my highest priority goals are fat loss around 4kg and increased neat To get to these goals I am going to try and be better at tracking my food. Usually I am good until there is work or social event. So I will be more mindful of what I consume at these events and at the least make estimates! To increase neat I plan to take a 20 minute walk after my last meal of the day before I spend time playing my on my phone. I would like to reach my long term fat loss goal within 12 weeks and my short term neat goal within the next two (after my crazy work schedule dies down!) I am worthy and I will achieve my goals as long as it takes 😎🫡💅

welcome to the community @Jessica Etmanski
Day One: Learning to Track!
I started using Map My Fitness today for the first time ever, I’ve never logged my food before! It’s a bit tricky, but I’m determined to learn and track everything I’m eating. Major brain workout happening over here, lol .. 🤯 but I’m all in.
