Did split squats for the first time in my life. Just wondering, my legs shaking like jello means I'm doing it right, right? ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜† Help I'm on a new phase in my workout book, so today was the first day of this combination - Barbell squat Barbell single leg split squat Romanian deadlift Hip thrust This workout was mean and rude to me and I just kept hearing Darren say "no one cares" in my head๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿคฃ

Saturday Share + Safe Weekend Reminder ๐ŸŽ†
Happy Saturday BBB fam! Wishing everyone a safe weekend, especially if youโ€™re playing with fireworks. Please keep all fingers, eyebrows, and fitness goals intact. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Yesterday I spent the day with Patrick and his partner Jennifer at Whiting Ranch in Lake Forest. But before the hike even started, the Mister somehow rolled out of bed, fell onto the floor, and blamed ME because apparently I hogged the bed. I told him he is officially a senior fall risk now. ๐Ÿคฃ The last time we hiked with Patrick and Jennifer, Jennifer almost went down on one of those steep inclines. She did eat breakfast that day, but it wasnโ€™t enough to fuel that kind of hike. So this time, my gut instinct kicked in and I texted her ahead of time asking if she wanted me to make her breakfast. I ended up making his and her cinnamon raisin bagels with strawberry whipped cream cheese because we cannot afford to have any man or woman down under my watch. ๐Ÿ˜‚ My partner didnโ€™t want breakfast, so he had himself a protein shake instead. The hike was definitely a good one: ๐Ÿฅพ Whiting Ranch hike details: Workout time: 2 hours 15 minutes Distance: 4.38 miles Elevation gain: 587 ft That incline was no joke, especially with my legs still feeling sore from my leg workout the day before. But it felt so good to move, breathe, challenge myself, and enjoy time with friends. And because I apparently donโ€™t know how to sit down and rest, after the hike we still kept our promise to our daughter and went to Disneyland. We ended the day with: ๐Ÿ”ฅ 24,816 steps ๐Ÿ”ฅ 9.69 miles It was one of those days that reminded me fitness is not just about the gym. Itโ€™s about being able to hike with friends, show up for family, carry your own energy, and still make memories after. Safe weekend everyone! Hydrate, eat before your adventures, and donโ€™t let anyone roll out of bed and blame you. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐ŸŽ†

I had a lot of pent up energy by end of work yesterday - and my bestie called it: pent up energy from accumulated emotions. So I changed into workout clothes and went for it - featuring a blurry selfie as I rushed home because the sky threathened to open with all it's might of thunder and lightning. I had a good sweat - it was so worth it.

Sometimes I get so caught up chasing the next goal that I forget to look back at how far I've come. So here's to June...๐Ÿฅน and in true Usra style fashionably late ๐Ÿ˜… ๐Ÿ’š New low weight. ๐Ÿ“ More centimetres lost. ๐Ÿ’ช New workout phase (that I was convinced I'd hate...I didn't ๐Ÿ˜‚). ๐Ÿ‹๏ธโ€โ™€๏ธ Conquered the Smith machine. ๐Ÿฆต Survived Bulgarian split squats ๐ŸŠโ€โ™€๏ธ Fell back in love with swimming. ๐ŸŽพ Played tennis with my family for 30 minutes straight (never been able to do that!) ๐Ÿฅฉ Stayed consistent with protein and nutrition. ๐Ÿ“ฑ Tracked every meal. ๐Ÿ‘Ÿ Kept moving, even when I REALLY didn't want to. ๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™€๏ธ Mobility, steps and habits all stayed on track. But my biggest win?..... My mindset. I've stopped waiting to feel motivated and started showing up anyway. I'm slowly learning that consistency beats perfection every single time. โœจ My motto: "Show up. Stay consistent. Trust the process." โœจ Here's to becoming stronger...physically, mentally and emotionally. July.....onwards and upwards. โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’ช
