A worthy decision..indeed
Just want to share a little something on my progress....i have been dieting now for about 3 years.. 🫤 Year 1: It was slow and i gave up a few times... 😪 Year 2: Did it alone no support, only from my son who encouraged me when doing home workouts 🤪..ate in an unhealthy way..eating less than 1000 calories a day..doing 18:6 intermittent fasting..working out at home 6/7 days a week with a hectic job as a Secondary school teacher..i did lose about 20kg-21kg within less than a year very quickly..but it was frustrating and i was not my best self socially..avoiding delicious foods and just avoided going places... **Stopped baking for my son and niece..i used to spoil them with the little treats...but what changed was my niece told me i was no longer the "fun aunty" because i avoided doing certain things with them to avoid food..it broke my 💔 and im her only aunty... 😊Year 3: Needless to say that was when i was like "no" i cant live like this... then boom 💥Beginning of 2025 got sick had to stop everything..gained about 7kg back 😒i was near giving up when a reel popped on my IG feed with @Darren Liu talking about making eating fun and losing weight sustainably..and i dont know what it was but i was like ok lets see what else he has to say...gave a follow ...... **Suffice to say that was a great decision..not only have i been able to let go of the bad eating habits and actually learn to enjoy counting calories....enjoy working out 3/7 days a week...enjoying some treats and seeing progress...😊 **Thanks to this community😊 i did something i said i would never do, which is to buy a food scale..because you see online people showing soo little amount of food when measuring...i was not optimistic about it....but i did and its made things easier and I'm more aware now...and frankly i enjoy it i treat like a little game each time i weight, adding it all together 😁 and seeing that i can maintain my deficit and eat healthy...and my weight has gone down more this month with that...
