Neckband stitch pick up
I’m really having a hard time figuring out how to pick up the stitches to do the doubled-over neckband. Would there be any “issue” with the neckband if I did a “whip stitch” to tack it down? If this isn’t a good idea, can someone give me some suggestions on how to identify and pick up the stitches. Thank you for your input.

I picked up alternate sts with a 2.5mm circular needle. When doubling neckband over I’d knit 2tog (like a 3-needle bind off - so knit one stitch from work together with one stitch in the 2.5mm needle. Then I’d just knit one stitch … and cast off… It sounds confusing trying to explain it but I was only knitting the 2 sts alternating with just 1 st. Gosh it would be so much easier to show you 😂😂

@Cathleen Misko oh yes that’s perfect.
Faux seam?
I’m doing size 4 and the pattern repeats work out fine after sleeve separation. I started doing the faux seam after separation, at the end of Clue 3 but then I was so excited to get going with clue 4 that I forgot about it for about 10 rounds…. So I made the decision not to worry about it. Plus I’m not doing any waist shaping so I think it looks fine without that faux seam. Anyone else in my boat?

@Olga Reeves I guess it should do - and it’s under the arms. I’ve just left it out.

@Lisa Stallings hopefully Zanete will have ideas 🤞
Where are you from
Sorry Zanete if this message isn't allowed .... But i'm so curious.... Where do you all come from. How spread is your reach of knitters. I think we come from all over the world. We have to do something to kill the time untill the first releas on friday! I have a lot of pleasure here in this group. Seeing all the combinations, reading tips and tricks... Every part in the world has his own knitting method. I will start. I'm from Belgium Europe. A small country with a king and queen! I live near by Bruges. In the middle ages it was a very important city, a center of trade. Nature did dry up the waterways and it fell asleep. Still Looks like the middle ages. A lot of tourism. So English isn't my language. But I'm doïng the best I can and don't use google Translate. Let my mind donthe work

Question about slipped stitches…
Are you stretching color B from row 19 four rows to row 23? Or am I reading chart wrong😥

@Adele Wessel yes. On the last row of the stst (row 19) I double wrapped 1st, 9th, 11th and 19th stitches of the pattern repeat. In row 25 I double wrapped 4th, 6th, 14th and 16th sts. Double wrap means when you go to knit the stitch instead of wrapping yarn once around the needle you wrap it twice. This creates an elongated st to be slipped. On the first row of slipping sts you just drop off both the wraps when slipping. It’s probably unnecessary but I’m finding it means the other rows aren’t so bunched up. Of course Zanete is probably after the added texture of the slight bunching. I do not want to upset the designer and process - but I’m also not averse to working my own adaptations.

@Adele Wessel you’re welcome 🧶
I have a question about finishing.
Is anyone else considering a zip closure rather than button band? And @Zanete Hussain once you are back from your weekend might you be able to say if you think there would be any reasons why I shouldn't? 🙂🙂 Thank you!

@Angel Fitzgerald I’m pretty sure I’ve seen a YouTube tutorial of adding a zipper fastening to knits and it was done by hand too (I think 🤔)
