I offer a qualified, trauma-aware space for emotional wellbeing and nervous system support. Drawing on my background in nursing, counselling, and creative therapy, I work in ways that meet you where you’re at. Sometimes through conversation, sometimes through creative or grounding practices. Question: What helps you feel more supported — talking, creating, or both? https://www.skool.com/paint-play-by-elizabeth-j-9034/about?ref=34fa3f08320c4c6b9cfc0131e40a6ea2

“You can’t blame your trauma for everything.”
“You can’t blame your trauma for everything.” Has anyone else heard this? It’s a sentence many of us are told — sometimes by others, sometimes by an inner voice that’s learned to repeat it. And while it can sound reasonable on the surface, it often lands as: • shame • minimisation • dismissal of lived experience • pressure to “get over it” Understanding trauma isn’t about blaming it for everything. It’s about recognising how past experiences shape nervous system responses, beliefs, and patterns — often outside conscious choice. When trauma is ignored or invalidated, people don’t suddenly become empowered. They usually become quieter. Harder on themselves. More confused. Healing doesn’t come from denial. It comes from context, compassion, and choice. I’m curious: 💬 Have you ever been told “you can’t blame your trauma for everything”? How did it land for you? If you would like to be part of a community that gets it. You can join for free here: Virtual Trauma Therapy With love, Chris

I feel like in the past I didn't let the trauma I had experienced define me. It wasn't something that I used as an excuse for where I was or what I was doing. But more recently, the latest trauma I've been through, has definitely shaped me and changed me and lead me to not care about myself so much. And it's not so much an excuse that I'm using. It's real. It has effected me in such a way that all those little things I used to do for myself seem like they don't matter and I just don't have the energy to waste on them. Things like getting my hair done. It's been 2 years. And I still just feel so drained. Add onto that that I'm a mum and have kids who rely on me, all my attention goes to them. To what they need. I dont know if I've really answered the question that was here, but I felt like I needed to say this, so yeah. I feel like maybe there is pressure to get over it. But with some things, especially traumatic things, it's not that easy.

People Buy Your Confidence, Not Your Vocabulary
Hey everyone! This is something that I have been thinking a lot about: Fancy words never close deals. Confidence, intention, and clarity do. Simple language sells better than impressive language. We go over this and much more inside our COMMUNITY. Hope to see you there! Ivan
