Cottage Food loop hole
I might have found a loop hole for needing a cottage food license (8 week waiting time) where I live! Popcorn, including flavored popcorn is listed on an exception list because it's low risk. If I'm preparing popcorn with all commercially prepared ingredients, which I would be at this point, I can visit the local health department for details. I will find out if it has to be prepared in a commercial kitchen or if my home kitchen is permitted. Wish me luck because I could really use the varied income stream at the farmer's market!

I think I failed with my dun pea.
What is wrong with my dun pea? It has those feather like true leaf - not what I was expecting. This is day 11 and it is so short! :/

I concur with @LaReina Olson ...mine is an 8 day cycle, I use a deep tray setup ...start taste testing when you like the appearance about day 8, when i try to time out a harvest and the sneak to 10 days they just lean over and technically advance from pea shoots to pea tendrils. Not desirable unless you use as a garnish(restaurants and catering)

Wednesday – Marketing Tip of the Week

Packed with crunch and flavor, they’re grown fresh every week. See the difference? People connect with stories. Drop your best microgreens sales pitch below, and let’s fine-tune it! 👇

I love these fantastic samples so far.. mine is not an elevator speech....but some general points 1. Proper introduction.....excellent segue above. Remember to most of the restaurant industry peeps you are an intrusion to their space...usually they are working in the business not on the business...take the approach as a consultant . And add something to the effect of " hey chef ...did you know those micros i sampled you last week are grown and harvested from a local farm that produced those nutrient pack colorful eye popping microgreens , I would like to talk to about that for about 10 minutes. But before I start do you have any questions or feedback of the samples from last week" 2. Uncover customer motivators 3. Navigate the objections 4. Set your value proposition 5. Proper exit. Recap what you discussed ...it shows that you heard what they had to say, but also clarifies any misunderstandings. Then talk about what competition might do in retaliation to you encroaching on their product. Never talk negative about competition!!! And then tell them when you are going to follow up with them...and make it happen
