Shoulder stands
@Brandon Beauchesne-Hebert please could I have some direction on this?! I can never seem to stay upright and find my balance! I try pushing more through my shoulders and using my fingers tips but I never stay upright!

Try engaging the core a bit more and moving your hips to find balance as this would enable the body to work as a whole and the input from arms and shoulders would more affect the legs and extend that balance point
Handstand
After my workout this morning, I added some handstands. I wanted to hold as long as I could and spend more time upside down. 🤸

Wow, that’s a solid hold there
My handstand today
I just don't understand why is so hard the kick up, I just can't get my hips to the wall. So I'm focusing on trying to balance from W2C. Now I see that I can throw more my hips to my back. I activate my core too But I don't know what's missing to start floating. I already saw the course of handstands... Maybe it's just a matter of time? šŸ¤”

I would suggest practicing falling. Just getting comfortable to have a controlled fall, that would take away a lot of the fear. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KE1z_SKTJyo
First Post, Thirsty for first Handstand Push Up in 2026
Hello team! :) I've been enjoying gym visits for quite some time and have always mixed in some body movement like pull-ups, dips, push-up, etc. I'd love to unlock a HSPU this year and hope to find the information to aid me in this quest here. I can do many pull ups, and even a dozen or so assisted HSPU but when it comes to just a handstand just a few seconds maybe 5 unassisted. Looking forward to grow with this community.

@Brandon Beauchesne-Hebert Thank you. It does change the progression a bit as I was first aiming to have a HS hold for up to 30 seconds with legs together before practicing negatives. Will keep the group updated :)

Hey Vardhan, I'm sure there are many areas in your life where you don't procrastinate so it's just a matter of time until you start enjoying callisthenics. Once you start tracking and seeing progress, you'll be amazed at how fast it becomes a fun game you end up looking forward to progressing.
