Getting Up at Night to Pee – Normal or Something to Adjust?
Hi everyone, I wanted to get your thoughts on nighttime urination. Lately, I’ve been getting up once (sometimes twice) at night to pee, which didn’t really happen before. At the same time, I’m also much more hydrated now, especially because eating fruits and vegetables contains a lot of water. I’ve heard two different perspectives on this. One is that if we urinate around 8–12 times a day on average, then statistically it makes sense that nighttime would sometimes be included—especially if we’re going every 2–2.5 hours. The other perspective is about sleep cycles: apparently, we don’t wake up because we need to pee, but rather we become aware of the need to pee when we’re already in a lighter sleep phase. So in that sense, it may not be as disruptive as it sounds. I’m curious how you experience this. Is it normal or “okay” for you to get up once or twice per night? Or do you actively try to avoid it, for example by eating earlier or adjusting fluid intake in the evening? How do you personally handle this? Looking forward to hearing your experiences.

80 10 10 Coach
Hey @Doug Graham and everyone 🙌 I am thinking about becoming a certified 80/10/10 coach and I have a few questions: 1. Can I complete the course at my own pace? Or are there any deadlines? 2. When do the meetings take place? Is it possible to join from Germany? 3. What is included? Is there an overview of the topics we will learn? Thanks in advance, Lena

Hi @Lena Neureuther I just wanted to clarify something from my previous message — it’s actually four support calls, not seven. @Doug Graham I also noticed that the Live Support Calls listed don’t seem to be updated. For example, Ted’s call appears to require a Contemporary Membership, and yours/Rosalind’s calls are dated at 2023 and 2024. Could you please let me know if there are any current Live Support Calls available — and if so, where I can find them? Thanks a lot for your help!

Tips against bloating
Hello my dears. I've been following the 80 10 10 diet for over 3 years and love it. I have a redundant collon that is a lot longer than average,as my doctor told me, and have always had a problem with being bloated most of the time. Even with the raw vegan s.o.s.free diet I still am bloated almost all through the night and sometimes even in the morning. Of course I eat large volumes of fruits and vegetables but I wonder of being do bloated is something you experienceas well.I even let my digestion rest for 12 to sometimes 20 hours with intermittent fasting.I am naturally active during the day wsökung the fogs and being an actress. I also only drink water and lukewarm tea and avoid juicing or blending in order to masticate and really treat my body to a natural.digestive process.. Any thoughts?

@Nellie Nadeau Yes. … and I would also avoid mixing fatty foods with sweet fruits...
Budget and Variety
Hey everybody, I have a question about variety importance. I have always been on a budget, but since some difficulties now, it will be even more the case. The thing is that I really want to continue with this diet, I find it even more important to recover now, but I will have to do some more calculs. And I am questioning myself about variety importance. I was trying calculating some different shopping lists and definitely having more bananas is making things cheaper. But I was asking myself if it would be a problem to have for exemple half of my calories coming from bananas for 2-4 months from now? Completing with other seasonal fruits and celery, lettuce and other fruits/veggies? Or if more variety is necessary? I am definitely on a moment of needing nutrition, my body still asks for more calories than I actually move, so I don’t want to compromise my health. But I thought that having more bananas with grapes, pomegranate, persimmon, pear, tangerines, apples, mangoes and still big salads with nuts and seeds from time to time could be an idea, what do you think? I also checked at some associations to maybe get some free things left, or discount products. But yeah no other solution for now like bulk etc. Thx for the reading, looking forward to hear from you ⭐️

Thoughts from a beginner ☺️ … Your budget plan sounds perfect to me. Delicious and varied! There are folks who live on bananas exclusively for months doing perfectly fine. Assumably that’s not recommended 😅 As Dr. Graham says variety over the seasons not throughout a meal or a day is key. No matter what you do, going back to cooked food seems worst to me.
