Dealing With Suffering
I’m 10 years in now with what would be considered a journey towards love and wanted to share something that I learned a good few years ago that I had to pull out of the bag recently. Our beautiful dog who’d been like our child for the last 8 years sadly got poorly and over six weeks during his illness put us in a state of ups and downs as whether he’d get better or not. Unfortunately we had to make that decision and it was heartbreaking. I wrote a list of notes and labelled them after his name. Lessons from Mylo - Be in the present moment - Present moments of awareness stop thinking in its tracks and allow us to see disruptive thoughts and feelings. - See the thoughts and feelings - Don’t judge them but acknowledge that they are there. It’s fear and attachment of how we want things to be. - Next Bring space to these thoughts and feelings and fill that space with love. This is how we turn darkness into light. - Bring love and gratitude to everything and everyone - It makes life easier. - It’s all gods grace and divine perfection - life doesn’t happen to us, it often happens for us. - Keep your hopes high and your heart open, when the heart closes, the mind takes over. I hope this helps someone x

ok soo this is my first post here and i just wanted to ask for advice or see what you guys have to say. So in my journey of awakening that has been taking course for the last few months, it’s been a bit of a struggle . by mind feels clattered and i feel like i can never just be in the present moment i feel like im always in my own head, thinking trying to be conscious and change but i just feel like i’m walking in a circle and each time the circle gets smaller ,more crowded and difficult. i honestly don’t know —but i also know soo much.i feel like all my life when i found or something interesting then i think “i can do this “ ,” this time i’ll change “ but i never do. I end up getting disappointed and in the same position i was in before, no progression. i’m scared even tho i know all this information and have learned soo much i can never put it onto practice because i’ll end up in that same loop of just being back right where i was before.

Hi Leah - It’s a challenging experience to go through. Everything will be opening up and what you’re probably experiencing is fear. Behind you is what you already know and it feels safer than the unknown of what is in front of you. The busy mind is the ego trying to protect with thoughts of the when’s, why’s and what ifs. Let’s address the getting present first because this is where you can be safe in the moment and still move forward. For me it was 4 things - Counting breathwork, cold showers, getting into nature and meditation - Exercise works too. Learn to create space for the fear, acknowledge it and then fill that space with love, fear needs love too - This is how we turn darkness into light. Learn to operate from the heart by focusing on it, thanking it and being grateful for it - and open heart keeps the mind quieter - a closed heart enables the mind to become chaotic. Find your practices and trust the process a day at a time, if you can’t do a day, do half a day, and keep breaking it down until it’s easier and your present. Good luck and happy travels 🙏🏻
