I’m 10 years in now with what would be considered a journey towards love and wanted to share something that I learned a good few years ago that I had to pull out of the bag recently.
Our beautiful dog who’d been like our child for the last 8 years sadly got poorly and over six weeks during his illness put us in a state of ups and downs as whether he’d get better or not. Unfortunately we had to make that decision and it was heartbreaking.
I wrote a list of notes and labelled them after his name.
Lessons from Mylo
- Be in the present moment - Present moments of awareness stop thinking in its tracks and allow us to see disruptive thoughts and feelings.
- See the thoughts and feelings - Don’t judge them but acknowledge that they are there. It’s fear and attachment of how we want things to be.
- Next Bring space to these thoughts and feelings and fill that space with love. This is how we turn darkness into light.
- Bring love and gratitude to everything and everyone - It makes life easier.
- It’s all gods grace and divine perfection - life doesn’t happen to us, it often happens for us.
- Keep your hopes high and your heart open, when the heart closes, the mind takes over.
I hope this helps someone x
