Critique of Transcription guides
Hey guys, I've some personal projects which I'm investing considerable time. I'm including these examples of a set of documents I'm transcribing for general purpose reference. Those with training and experience, in particular, please, review and share your opinions. These aren't my original builds, something which I found near a decade ago, I'm just putting them into Libre Calc for easy access.

Staying Power of the Ancient Stories vs the Modern Slop
Good morning men, I wanted to provide an update. Since November 21, 2025, I've been interpreting the classic Star Trek through Enterprise, including the movies from a lens of Joseph Campbell's The Hero With a Thousand Faces (a book I'm re-reading aloud to my chickens, who're captivated). My cumulative views on YouTube (TrekWarp) have exceeded 4,000. Since I've resumed cross-publishing on Rumble (pnwpi or pnwpi2024), the cumulative views are 971 over 5 videos within the past two weeks. I'm developing a series, "Star Trek's Patrilineal Legacy" which will focus on father-son dynamics and when appropriate, the parallels to modern society we're witnessing. This is a large undertaking, and dense with material. To break up the heaviness I'm creating videos that show parallels to timeless myths, such as Gilgamesh, Robin Hood, Apollo and how Star Trek modernizes these ancient tales. I would encourage ANY of you who're shy about creating online, whether it be essays or videos, music, or anything - consider finding a genre which has carried with you since childhood and explore the reason it still matters to you. These critiques are meant to show the building blocks to timeless story-telling. There's a reason Gilgamesh, Jonah and the Whale, Beowulf and many others have persisted centuries to millennia and there's a reason "modern" books, television, movies suck. I appreciate your feedback, your views, and your future endeavors. Good luck.

I watched your video on Bernays. I find it fascinating the intersection of your making and publishing it at this point in time (people online are begging for a "how-to" manual, my personal life, I'm hip-deep in building a documentation log). Using his quote at the beginning is a powerful grab. I knew he was related to Freud, but not to that level of bordering on questionable. The work Bernays did is both brilliant and depraved; if he'd not have done it - someone else by now would. It definitely inspires questions: A republic if you can keep it; can we when presented with such skilled levels of manipulation when many of those being manipulated are insistent that they're immune to such manipulations? Shaping your "targets" opinion before they know to have one, yup. Great video. Excellent information.

Absolutely! https://www.youtube.com/@trekwarp/videos this is the one which I've been building since Nov 21, 2025. I've got other accounts on YouTube and Rumble. But this one is the one which I'm having fun dissecting older media, specifically, classic Star Trek.
Professional Poker
Anybody play professionally? Want some advice

That is correct. Surrounding Seattle and Tacoma were several live casinos that were pay-to-play (Muckleshoot, for example). When I moved back to my house in Oregon, a neighboring town, also in Washington, had a no entry, first-come-first-serve walk-in daily tournament. Whoever won that tournament won cash.

Poker is more about playing against other people. Blackjack/21 is where people focus on the mathematics, probabilities, and such. On my Rumble, and I think YouTube (here's the link to the first of the multi-part series: https://rumble.com/v6mhvfi-body-language-how-does-one-learn-what-one-is-saying-part-001.html) I've provided break-downs of Chase Hughes's "Behavioral Table of Elements", Paul Ekman's Action Units, Readings from Joe Navarro's, "What EveryBODY is Saying", details from Janine Driver's book, my trainings and specifics for reading people. I know the "worst" hand in Texas Hold'em is a 7 and a 2, I knew the terms; button, big/small blind, turn, river, I know what hands win (straight, flush, straight-flush, royal flush, full house, pairs, three of a kind, etc) - and that's about it on my knowing anything about poker. The first game I played at Muckleshoot, I read everyone at the table, held my cards, got a Flush and won over a $100. I cashed out and went home. Good luck and if you've got more questions, let me know.
Opportunity in the chaos
If you’re a younger guy stuck in a dead end job, drowning in student loan debt, or just feel like you’re spinning your wheels, I want to put something on your radar. ICE is hiring. Aggressively. And the part that should get your attention: no college degree required for Deportation Officer positions. Think about that. Your friends are $80K deep in debt for a communications degree working at Starbucks, and you could be starting a federal law enforcement career making $50-90K depending on location and grade level. It gets better: - Up to $50,000 in signing and retention bonuses - Student loan repayment incentive available (if you do have debt) - TSP retirement with 5% government match (basically a 401k) - Full benefits - health, dental, vision, the works - Retire at 50 with 20 years of service. Or any age after 25 years. - Pension for life after that They’re hiring in Phoenix, LA, San Diego, Denver, Miami, Atlanta…basically everywhere. Look, I’m not saying this is for everyone. You need to be a US citizen, pass a fitness test, get security clearance, and be willing to carry a firearm. This is real work with real stakes. But if you’re sitting there wondering what your path forward looks like, maybe you’re grinding some meaningless corporate job that’s slowly killing your soul, or you’re 25 and still don’t know what you want to do with your life, this is the kind of opportunity that doesn’t come around often. The current administration is pushing hard on enforcement. That means job security, overtime and advancement opportunities. Sometimes the chaos creates doors that weren’t there before. This might be yours.

I spoke to my VA rep, she's a tool and a fool. I expressed my interest in ICE and/or other connected entity due to my 5 years of armed nuclear security, time as a licensed private investigator. My supplemental trainings with Dawn Watkins, former Florida state crime lab who now owns and runs Forensic Pieces conducting traveling "Crime Scene Analysis" classes which I've taken two, Richard Whitehead's Forensic Statement Analysis training (he's a former sheriff and director of Columbia (OR) County Emergency dispatch) and additional behavioral analytics training (Ekman, Matsumoto, others). Her face was BLANK. As in, lights on - no one home. The VA is a gyno-kakistocratic joke.
What would you do?
Theoretically, a buddy of mine wants to create a Nation. He wants information on what others would do based on their beliefs and experiences. He has a clear outline and created a new type of political system ( he calls it a competitive monarchy) to do so, but wants others opinions and ideas for things like infrastructure, services, funding, regulations, where to buy land from a country, military, alliances, technology, agriculture, etc Please tell us anything that can help (Again this is for a friend)

There was a man who researched nation-state boundaries in central or eastern Europe about 10-15 years ago. He found a section that wasn't claimed by anyone. He established his own country. I don't remember his name, the name of his country - but it was recent. It's do-able, but, with all things; might makes right. You may be able to do it on paper, but once it becomes a threat to neighboring ideology and/or economy/resources - it'll be absorbed, most often by force.

I'm in the Pac NW. I've been working on a faceless youtube/rumble/odysee channel for a while. Reading books, covering news, and pop cult
