@Bernard Onwa Everyone has access to bulk cold email at scale. There are young people that have no idea who their customer is, sending out 10's of thousands with a low quality offer and landing pages that don't convert. As a result, it's harder and harder to get in a B2B inbox and the filters are getting tighter and tighter (Dr. Feldman has posted LOADS of information about this over the last year). Knowing your customer avatars, knowing their 'real' pain points and offering real solutions based in excellent service, gets emails opened. Long funnel client nurturing is almost an essential based on the high level of skepticism.

The real opportunities come from understanding the "Monday Morning Problem" framework and leveraging what I call "trust bridges." The results I'm seeing with this new approach are mind-blowing. I hope the post is not too long but I want to share my process without having experience in sales, marketing, or any related career since I am an economist. Thanks to @Alan Bell, @Alison Boyle, @Jamie Busby, @Kunal Balgotra and everyone who has helped me in the community by responding to other posts and comments, it has been fundamental to achieve this. 🧠 Education I have spent the previous two months before founding the agency educating myself a lot: - I have seen many videos. - I have read a lot. - I follow many expert people on the subject on LinkedIn who give you free daily tips. - Communities like this one created by @Jay Feldman ✉️ Process of setting up the cold email system - First and most importantly, I have correctly configured the DKIM, DMARK, and SPF codes for the domains. - I have defined a single niche and have concentrated all my energies on this one. - I have defined an ICP taking into account: Country Industry Sub-industry Job position Number of employees in the company 💬 Meetings I have spent two months sending emails only to people in the defined niche. Once people started responding I started having a lot of meetings. It is hard to take all the calls because not many are ideal clients but it is where I have learned the most about: - Pain points of companies. - Problems they have had with other agencies. - Strategies that they have used and that have not worked for them. - How to improve the offer you can make regarding the price. - I have lost the fear of talking to C-level and manager-level people. - I have acquired business skills that I didn't even know I had. - I have no experience in marketing or sales, but as I had more meetings my level of confidence increased and that made me look like an expert on the subject. 🗣️ Pitch In this process of meetings I have been improving my pitch, initially, I did not tell them that the agency was new. However, I then approached this issue as a strength, mentioning that it is an opportunity for the client since they would not be another client on my list and that my success depends on the success of my clients so I was going to focus all my energies on making them a successful campaign.

I’ve closed $2.8M on LinkedIn in 2024, reached 6 figure/mo and helped dozens of agencies to scale using 3 tactics:
1. Create Case-Study Posts (2–3 Times a Week) Forget posting daily or leaving spammy comments. Instead: - Post 2–3 times a week (best days: Tues-Thurs, 9-11 AM). - Write posts solving a specific client problem, structured like a case study: 1) Start with a pain point (e.g., “A cold email agency struggled with 1% response rates.”) 2) Share your solution (e.g., “We fixed their targeting, hook, and offer.”) 3) End with a result (e.g., “Response rates jumped to 12%, landing meetings with top companies.”). 4) Call to Action: End with a question like, “What’s your current response rate? Drop it below, and I’ll share a tip to improve it.” 2. The Connection Method Stop pitching right after connecting. Instead: - Find 10 engaged prospects (people commenting on your posts or others in your niche). - Send personalized connection requests mentioning their engagement. 1) Example: “Hey [Name], saw your comment on [Post Topic]. I’d love to connect and share insights on [relevant topic].” - After they accept, wait 48 hours before messaging. In the meantime, engage with 2–3 of their posts. - Share a useful resource with a personal note: 1) Example: “Hey [Name], as promised, here’s the framework that helped us boost response rates. The section on [specific problem] might be especially helpful.” 3. Referral System Referrals aren’t just luck. You can create them. Here’s how: - Find your top 5 client success stories. - Share those stories as case studies or appreciation posts (tag your client!). 1) Example: “Huge shoutout to [Client Name]! They went from 2 meetings/week to 15 with a 12% response rate. Proud to be part of their success!” - Look at their connections and reach out to similar businesses. 1) Example: “Hey [Name], I saw you’re connected with [Client]. We helped them go from [Before] to [After]. I’d love to share the exact framework we used!” These strategies are important, but work a fraction as well without a attached cold email system.
