🍃 Fresh-Pressed Sugar Cane Juice – Liquid Sunshine
There's something deeply satisfying about watching green canes go through the press, emerging as golden-green liquid that tastes like pure sweetness with a whisper of grass and earth. Here in Paraguay, sugar cane juice (jugo de caña) is a tradition—simple, refreshing, and best enjoyed right after pressing. No additives, no sugar added (it's sweet enough on its own). Just the pure essence of the plant, captured in a glass. I've been pressing small batches lately—served cold with a squeeze of lime or just as it comes. It's a taste of the field, the sun, the slow rhythm of harvest. Now I'm curious: 🌱 Have you ever tried fresh sugar cane juice? 🍋 What's your favorite way to enjoy it—plain, with lime, or mixed with something else? 🌿 Or is there another traditional drink from your part of the world that connects you to the land? I'd love to hear your experiences! Let's share a little taste of where we come from. 🌍🥤

Sacred Ground
I have been working on a few songs. I thought to share this one. I'd love to know what you think. Lyrics: Planted my seeds in the store-bought ground Waited for life but heard no sound Eight dollar bag of poisoned earth What happened to the soil's true worth? Down the drain our waste all flows To treatment plants where nothing grows They kill the life with chemicals bright Then sell it back as fertilized lies We're drinking what we flushed away Eating poison every day Disconnected from the earth Forgot our soil's sacred worth There's a better way to grow Ancient wisdom that we know Composting cycles, life renewed From waste to wealth, the old made new Sacred Ground is in our hands Healing soil, healing lands Breaking free from toxic chains Life returns when wisdom reigns When wisdom reigns Sewage sludge on vegetables growing Pharmaceutical rivers flowing CAFO waste in bags they sell Creating agricultural hell But our great-grands knew the way Bucket systems, wood chips, clay Carbon balance, natural flow That's how healthy gardens grow We're drinking what we flushed away Eating poison every day Disconnected from the earth Forgot our soil's sacred worth There's a better way to grow Ancient wisdom that we know Composting cycles, life renewed From waste to wealth, the old made new Sacred Ground is in our hands Healing soil, healing lands Breaking free from toxic chains Life returns when wisdom reigns When wisdom reigns Every leaf that hits the ground Becomes the soil where life is found Nothing wasted in nature's plan If we could just remember when... We were part of living systems Not apart from earth's great wisdom Every ending, new beginning In the cycles, we are spinning There's a better way to grow Ancient wisdom that we know Composting cycles, life renewed From waste to wealth, the old made new Sacred Ground is in our hands Healing soil, healing lands Breaking free from toxic chains Life returns when wisdom reigns When wisdom reigns Plant the seed of conscious choice

Your Body as Wise Collaborator
I want to share what might be the most radical shift in approaching natural wellness: recognizing your body not as something to control, but as a wise collaborator in the healing process. Your body already knows how to digest, detoxify, rest, restore, and regenerate. It knows how to receive the gifts that plants offer and integrate them into its own healing wisdom. It carries intelligence that operates faster than thought, in the way it relaxes in certain environments, tenses around particular people, or craves specific foods during times of stress or healing. This doesn't mean being passive or ignoring symptoms. It means approaching your body's signals as information rather than inconvenience, as intelligence rather than malfunction. It means trusting that beneath the layers of stress and disconnection lives a profound knowing about what creates genuine vitality. But this collaboration requires developing the skill of listening beneath the mental chatter. Your internal compass is always pointing toward what truly serves your wellbeing. If you know how to read it. Body wisdom inquiry: Take a moment right now to check in with your body. What is it telling you it requires? Not what it should need according to any external authority, but what it's actually asking for in this moment. What do you notice? What would healthcare look like if we treated the body as a wise collaborator rather than a machine to be fixed?

This is so profound, the health care system may go out of business 😊
