๐ŸŒž๐Ÿ’จ๐ŸŒง๏ธ Tree labels that last through it all?
๐ŸŒž๐Ÿ’จ๐ŸŒง๏ธ Tree labels that last through it all โ€” sun, wind, rain. What's your DIY go-to? I'm looking to label some trees outdoors โ€” nothing fancy, just something that can resist sun, wind, and rain. Has anyone found a reliable DIY solution that actually lasts? What has worked for you in your garden or land? ๐Ÿ‘‡ Drop your tried and tested ideas โ€” photos very welcome

๐ŸŒผ April Challenge โ€“ Day 18 / 30
Week 3: Growing Through Change ๐ŸŒฟ Yesterday, you let that feeling be present โ€” even just for a moment. While making tea. Walking between rooms. Before sleep. Today, we go a little deeper โ€” but still gently. Because presence is beautiful. But what happens when we start to trust that presence? Not clinging to it. Not forcing it to stay. Just noticing: I can actually return here. It's not that far away. ๐Ÿ“ Spring in the north: the seedling doesn't stay open all day. It closes at night. Then opens again when the light returns. ๐Ÿ“ Autumn in Paraguay: the river slows in dry season โ€” but it never forgets how to flow. When the rain comes, it remembers. Today's invitation: Think back to that moment yesterday when you let the feeling in. Now ask yourself: Could I return there today โ€” on purpose, without pressure? Not for long. Not perfectly. Just one small return. - Close your eyes for three breaths before lunch - Pause with your hand on your chest after waking up - Look out a window and name one thing you see - Sit somewhere without your phone for two minutes ๐Ÿ‘‡ Share one way you'll return โ€” or drop ๐ŸŒพ

I noticed the dew on the grass and the wild bees visiting wild plants.

๐ŸŒผ April Challenge : Small Joys, Deep Roots
*A 4-week journey into seasonal presence, slow noticing, and the small joys that root us.* Welcome to the April Challenge! This month, we're turning our attention to the rhythms of the earth beneath our feetโ€”and the quiet beauty of living in sync with the season. In the Northern Hemisphere, spring is unfoldingโ€”buds breaking, light returning, life stirring. In Paraguay, autumn arrivesโ€”a slow exhale, golden light, the quiet ripening of fruit. Wherever you are, this month invites you to notice. To slow down. To root into the season beneath your feet and the small joys that grow from presence. @everyone After a month of gratitude and belonging, we now step into April with gentle attention. No pressure. No perfection. Just small moments of noticingโ€”what the morning sounds like, how a leaf changes, who crosses our path, what slows us down. Each week, we'll explore a different way of connecting with the seasonโ€”and how we can carry these small observations into our daily lives, wherever we call home. @Rositsa Aleksandrova @Veronika Hรผbner @Nya K

@Christa Raatz Even without cherries, our food forest gives us its own rhythm. Right now: papaya, peaches, passion fruit in blossom. And soon โ€” with cooler weather โ€” hibiscus, roselle, and citrus fruits will follow. Green all year, but never the same. That's the beauty of seasons, even in a place where winter is just a whisper. ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒฟ

@Robert Chan do the small basil plants need indoor environment?
๐Ÿƒ Fresh-Pressed Sugar Cane Juice โ€“ Liquid Sunshine
There's something deeply satisfying about watching green canes go through the press, emerging as golden-green liquid that tastes like pure sweetness with a whisper of grass and earth. Here in Paraguay, sugar cane juice (jugo de caรฑa) is a traditionโ€”simple, refreshing, and best enjoyed right after pressing. No additives, no sugar added (it's sweet enough on its own). Just the pure essence of the plant, captured in a glass. I've been pressing small batches latelyโ€”served cold with a squeeze of lime or just as it comes. It's a taste of the field, the sun, the slow rhythm of harvest. Now I'm curious: ๐ŸŒฑ Have you ever tried fresh sugar cane juice? ๐Ÿ‹ What's your favorite way to enjoy itโ€”plain, with lime, or mixed with something else? ๐ŸŒฟ Or is there another traditional drink from your part of the world that connects you to the land? I'd love to hear your experiences! Let's share a little taste of where we come from. ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿฅค

@Robert Chan very interesting to use some species in dishes. How about in Spain, could be grown there?

@Robert Chan in my opinion sugar cane is one of the easiest plant for fresh juice in warm climates. I even obtained a raw storable melasis from it.
๐ŸŒผ April Challenge โ€“ Day 17 / 30
Week 3: Growing Through Change ๐ŸŒฟ Yesterday, you let yourself feel what the small step gave back. Maybe it was lightness. Maybe honesty. Maybe just a quiet pause. Today, we build on that โ€” gently. Because feeling something is one thing. Letting it soften how you move through today? That's another kind of growth. Not forcing. Not overthinking. Just carrying that tiny shift with you like a small warmth in your pocket. ๐Ÿ“ Spring in the north: the shoot doesn't forget the dark soil it came from โ€” but it turns toward the sun anyway. ๐Ÿ“ Autumn in Paraguay: the breeze that moved the leaves yesterday doesn't stop. It just keeps going โ€” softer now, but still moving. Today's invitation: Think of that feeling you noticed yesterday. Now ask yourself: Where in my day today can I let that feeling be present โ€” just for a moment? - While making tea or coffee - Walking from one room to another - Before answering a message - Lying down before sleep No action needed. Just presence. ๐Ÿ‘‡ Share where you'll let it in โ€” or drop ๐Ÿƒ @Robert Chan @Nya K @Veronika Hรผbner

@Robert Chan I think, when things align, presence comes naturally.
