From Unclear to Unstoppable: My First Five-Figure Proposal
LONG POST…… On May 9th, 2025, I attended the Live Chicago Speak Your Way to Cash Event with an open mind and a very real challenge: I had a major meeting coming up, one that could shift the entire direction of my business, but I had no clue how to confidently pitch my services, price my value, or structure my offer. Sis, I knew my zone of genius. But sales? That part made me freeze. So I leaned in and said yes to the Pitch Your Way to Cash program. And let me tell you, that yes turned into a five-figure contract that I submitted with confidence, clarity, and receipts (aka research to back up my pricing and proposal). From Ashley’s expert training on sales and proposals… To her powerful AI team that helped refine my pitch and polish the actual document… To the encouragement and brilliance of this entire community, I felt seen, supported, and strategically equipped to move like the expert I am. This moment is just the beginning, and I know it. But I had to pause and say: THANK YOU, Ashley. Thank you to your team, and thank you to this community that reminded me: You don’t have to do it alone. The moment I admitted I needed help with sales, was the moment I unlocked real support and real results. Let’s be clear, more wins are on the way. But today, I’m celebrating this one. Tiffany Ingram

Authentic vulnerability. This means sharing your learning journey, acknowledging mistakes, and asking for help when needed. This is how you build trust amongst your team. When a leader shows vulnerability, it creates a psychological safety net, which in turn fosters innovation and creativity. IMO :)
Sent 11 Pitches today
I've been slacking since the NY event but this morning I took action and sent 11 or so pitches out to Podcasts and Associations.

Great job! Just try to commit to ten a day. Low pressure but consistent momentum. 😉 You got this.

I wonder how my daughter sees all this right now. She’s on tour with her mom—city to city—watching me teach about sales, power, legacy, and what it means to own your voice. She’s seeing me speak life into rooms full of women…and a few good men too. We’re living out of suitcases—hotel to hotel, plane to plane—but in between the hustle, we’re catching movies, having girl talks, sharing laughs. And I’m learning her. Her personality shifts in moments—playful one minute, deep the next. She’s growing up right in front of me. She’s realizing her power. She’s starting to love her skin. Her curls. Her reflection. She’s starting to understand that being a young Black girl is a gift, not a limitation. She’s learning what it looks like to be a woman who walks in purpose, speaks with clarity, and builds something out of nothing. And here’s what I hope she knows… She can do anything. Not because I said so. But because she’s watching me do it—and she’s starting to believe she can too. At this age, she switches careers often - and I support all the dreams and encourage her to explore everything! And to tell us what she thinks she likes and dislikes! This is a fun age. I was at an event and they asked what one word describes your motherhood journey and I said: FUN. I laugh a lot more with my daughter in my life. She’s always doing something or telling me something that’s funny 😂😂😂 nothing’s perfect but I’m enjoying it.

Hey y'all hey!! Happy Thursday. I am currently working on my weekly articles for LinkedIn and I am stuck on how to present my CTA at the end. Should I A. Provide a bit of information about my services and say direct message me for a services brochure. B. Provide a bit of information about my services and add the link for the service brochure. C. Neither. D. Something else. TIA :)
