I wonder how my daughter sees all this right now.
Sheâs on tour with her momâcity to cityâwatching me teach about sales, power, legacy, and what it means to own your voice. Sheâs seeing me speak life into rooms full of womenâŚand a few good men too.
Weâre living out of suitcasesâhotel to hotel, plane to planeâbut in between the hustle, weâre catching movies, having girl talks, sharing laughs.
And Iâm learning her.
Her personality shifts in momentsâplayful one minute, deep the next. Sheâs growing up right in front of me.
Sheâs realizing her power.
Sheâs starting to love her skin. Her curls. Her reflection.
Sheâs starting to understand that being a young Black girl is a gift, not a limitation.
Sheâs learning what it looks like to be a woman who walks in purpose, speaks with clarity, and builds something out of nothing.
And hereâs what I hope she knowsâŚ
She can do anything.
Not because I said so.
But because sheâs watching me do itâand sheâs starting to believe she can too.
At this age, she switches careers often - and I support all the dreams and encourage her to explore everything! And to tell us what she thinks she likes and dislikes! This is a fun age.
I was at an event and they asked what one word describes your motherhood journey and I said: FUN.
I laugh a lot more with my daughter in my life. Sheâs always doing something or telling me something thatâs funny đđđ nothingâs perfect but Iâm enjoying it.
