Is the consensus not happening?
I've been in the waiting room for the consensus call for 10 minutes. It still just says waiting for host to join.

This event was automatically put on my calendar so I'm certain the time wasn't wrong. 🤔

But I see that it's now listed for next week. This is the second time I've tried to join and the call was cancelled or apparently moved.
Friends and inviting women to nonexistent things.
Good afternoon. I recently finished “The Setup”, by Dan Bilzerian. When y’all read it, I recommend purchasing the actual book so you can take specific notes when he mentions dating, sex, and relationships. In Chapter 9, he mentions that it is easy to invite women out to things when you already have something going have. In the context mentioned, he was hanging out with friends and approaching women not with an offer for a date, but for some activity, food, the beach, whatever. This is easier when in high school or college. But I’m 36. My best friends from the Marine Corps that still live near me are married with children, or literally across the country. I’m a nurse now, so you’d thing I’d get plenty of useful female friends at work, but they are only work friends and most are a bit older with children and husbands or both. I’m in a great location (Houston) for my career, but I guess I don’t have any friends at all. I can’t invite women to anything because, well I’m not doing anything. I go to the gym, I go to BJJ, I go to work, but I have nothing to invite anyone to. I have no built in social network like in college. I’m committed to solving this problem, but I don’t know where to start. Has anyone else approached this same issue with a good solution? Thanks, Brett

I just listened to the chapter in making and keeping friends in the book "Let them" last week. I highly recommend that chapter for this. I'm starting my own local men's (secular) personal development group. Many of the people I have invited I met directly at my local Unitarian universalist church, or met through a friend I made at that same church. I really like local running clubs or yoga groups for finding cool friends personally. Could be some other niche interest. Ideally something that appeals to the type of people you want to be friends with.
For casual daters here, do you volunteer non-exclusivity before the first date?
I’m curious how others handle disclosure timing ethically. For context, I currently have a couple friends-with-benefits. We’re not partners, and it’s been explicitly communicated that we’re non-exclusive and free to date others. When meeting new women, mostly via dating apps, if exclusivity or dating style isn’t asked about upfront, is it more respectful to let chemistry be assessed on a first date and disclose later before expectations form? Or to proactively disclose before the first date that you’re dating other people? I’m currently dating non-exclusively, with openness to settling into a monogamish or exclusive relationship with the right aligned person. Where do you personally draw that line? For now, I’m operating on this principle: people on dating apps are adults. If exclusivity is important to them before a first date, they can ask. If they don’t ask, I don’t volunteer it until we’ve met and assessed chemistry. If things feel like they could go somewhere, I then ask about their dating style and share mine. I sometimes will proactively bring this up before the first date if their profile says they are monogamous, looking for a lifelong partner or something. I just don't want anyone to feel like they wasted time or I withheld relevant information.

@William Radell thanks for sharing and props to you for acknowledging the underlying issues and dealing with it! Self love and self work go hand in hand, don't they! I also am a recovering people pleaser!

@Kyle Mullaney haha, I had to look up what 304 was. 😂
Side deck or other written resources?
Hi, I am gradually making my way through the videos for the off market dating system training, but have not taken many notes because I am watching on the phone app. I'm wondering if anyone has taken notes or outlined the do's and don'ts and tips that are given in these videos and would be willing to share it? I'm guessing this exists and just need to be pointed to the right post. Thanks!
