Food poisoning
Pls tell me how you all are getting your protein in after a night with food poisoning. I tried but couldnโ€™t eat anything at all yesterday. I made a protein shake. Opened a bag of quest protein chips. Ezekiel toast. Crackers. Couldnโ€™t even think about eggs or cottage cheese. Iโ€™d eat or drink one or two and just couldnโ€™t.

It might be best to just try and stay hydrated and rest to reset the body. I hope you feel better โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿฉน
Monday the right way
Here are my 3 goals for the week: 128 ounces of water every day. So, first thing in the morning, I need to drink my first 33 ounces before I even have my coffee. 10k steps every day! To help with this, I'll either do a live from the treadmill or take a 10-minute walk every 90 minutes while I'm working. No skipping meals! I've got my fuel meals at home and at the house I'm remodeling, plus I have alarms set for when it's time to eat. I'm back on track, so this is super important. What I've learned as a trainer and as a person is that we're more likely to stick with our goals if we tell a friend or a group like this that will help us positively with accountability! Let's kick today's ass and this week's ass!

Setting alarms is such a great idea! Skipping meals is my biggest downfall ๐Ÿฅด
Brenipatide (LY3537031)
Brenipatide is a new incretin-based peptide in development by Eli Lilly and Company. It works on the same general pathways as tirzepatide and retatrutide, targeting GIP and GLP-1 receptors. That part isnโ€™t exciting. Whatโ€™s different is what theyโ€™re trying to use it for. This isnโ€™t just being looked at for fat loss or blood sugar. Itโ€™s being studied for things like alcohol cravings, smoking relapse, and even opioid-related behavior. That should tell you right away this isnโ€™t just about eating less. This is about how the brain handles reward. Most people think GLP-1 equals appetite suppression. Thatโ€™s surface level. The deeper layer is that these pathways interact with dopamine and reward signaling. Thatโ€™s why some people on these compounds lose interest in food, alcohol, even certain habits. Brenipatide is being pushed further into that lane. So instead of thinking โ€œthis helps you eat less,โ€ think โ€œthis might help you want less.โ€ Thatโ€™s a completely different conversation. Now hereโ€™s the reality. This is still in research. No real protocols, no long-term outcome data, and no clear idea yet where it will land compared to something like tirzepatide or retatrutide. So this isnโ€™t something you should be chasing. But it is something to watch. Because if it does what theyโ€™re hoping, this class of peptides stops being just about fat loss and starts becoming about controlling cravings, habits, and behaviors at a much deeper level. Thatโ€™s where things get interesting.

@Leslie Hilson this is a great point
5-AGONIST PEPTIDE (QUINTUPLE AGONIST)
A 5-agonist is a single peptide designed to activate five metabolic receptors at the same time. TARGETS GLP-1 GIP Glucagon Amylin Calcitonin WHAT EACH ONE DOES GLP-1 Reduces appetite and slows digestion GIP Improves insulin response and nutrient handling Glucagon Increases calorie burn and energy output Amylin Enhances fullness and reduces meal size Calcitonin Extends satiety and supports metabolic regulation OVERALL EFFECT Lower food intake Longer-lasting fullness Higher energy expenditure Better glucose control WHAT IT IS A next-generation multi-agonist peptide built to combine appetite control, satiety, and calorie burning into one compound CURRENT STATUS Still in development and not commercially available SIMPLE SUMMARY One peptide Five pathways Full metabolic control in a single mechanism
