It's Raining Here today!
- Do you prefer sunrise or sunset? - What’s your favorite rainy‑day activity? - If you could only keep one board game or card game forever, which would it be? - What’s the funniest thing your pet (or a friend’s pet) has ever done? - I want to see a picture! 😀

Living in the Moment
Hey Friends, I’ve been noticing something lately… before Halloween even arrived, the stores were already filled with Christmas tree Reese’s cups. It made me pause and wonder: why are we always rushing to the next holiday instead of savoring the one we’re in? So I’d love to hear from you: Do you put up a Christmas tree? If so, when do you usually set it up? And do you feel like society pushes us to move on too quickly, instead of enjoying the day we’re in? For me, this isn’t just about decorations, it’s about rhythm, presence, and learning to celebrate the moment we’re living right now. Let’s share our traditions, reflections, and maybe even ideas for how we can slow down and truly enjoy each season as it comes.

I really feel this. As I love Autumn and desire to savor every fallen leaf.

Sushi with my mother. What a blessing it was.
Welcome New Members
We’re so glad you’re here. This space is rooted in nourishment, rhythm, and regenerative care, and you’re now part of a community that honors gentle, practical change. Start by introducing yourself in the comments: share where you’re joining from, what drew you here, or one seasonal ritual you love. Then head to Week 1 Onboarding to explore our food systems, habit tools, and daily rhythms. There’s no rush. Take what you need, skip what you don’t, and know that you’re not doing this alone. #Welcome to Field Farm & Forest Living We’re growing together, gently, seasonally, and with care. Peace, Kirsten

Hello, I'm Betty and I am from Virginia, USA. I was drawn to this community because I have sought and found healing in the garden and I love growing my own food. A seasonal ritual I love is opening and closing the planting seasons. I love prepping the soil, as well as giving was has given it's all back to the earth. It's a beautiful cycle. I am here to learn and to chat with fellow nature lovers.

@Kirsten Hughes Oh absolutely. I'm getting ready to fully clear my garden for the fall and possibly set up cold frames for the winter. I would like to get some lettuce going.
Post-Halloween Reflections: The Side Paths Are Part of the Journey
Woke up today feeling a little off, too much candy (cookies), not enough rhythm. Anyone else? This is the part of the journey we don’t always talk about: the side paths. The moments we veer off course, indulge, forget, or just say “yes” to something that doesn’t quite serve us. And that’s okay. A healthier life isn’t built on perfection; it’s built on knowing how to return. When we understand how to nourish ourselves, how to reset gently, how to listen to our bodies with kindness… we can move past these moments and keep building our foundation in health. So today, I’m drinking broth, eating greens, and reminding myself: I know how to care for this body. I know how to come back. If you’re feeling a little cruddy, too? You’re not alone. Let’s reset together, one meal, one breath, one choice at a time.

I'm so ready for this. I've been off myself for a bit. Looking forward to a reset.
