The " What If" Game
One of the ways I amuse myself and keep my mind active is to think through what would or could have happened. What if we lost the Revolutionary War! Would we be speaking British, German or... What if the Confederacy won? With rebels having the North's industry, how long would slavery exist in America? What if Kennedy had not been assassinated? Would Vietnam have happened so disastrously? What if the doctor didn't drop me on my head... Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Valentine's Day - What a stupid holiday!!
Before I'm crucified for this, let me explain. If you have someone you love, why limit it to celebrating only one day. In my opinion, you should celebrate the one you love everyday and not just limit it to one day a year. Thoughts?

So this is my take on this great and interesting topic. For some men it’s difficult because they never really celebrate the person they are with or really get to know them so getting the right gift is tedious. The for the ones that celebrates their relationship all year long, it’s a time to do something special or unique, and even if it’s something simple, the one receiving is not easily offended by the simple gesture because you made them feel special all year. Then there the ones that feel that if they do something special it will be a commitment that they do not or are ready to commit to. In the end; time is short, there is no guarantee of that person will see another Valentine’s Day or even tomorrow, so whatever category you fall into, tell that person that you care about how you feel about them while you can.
What Would You like To See In The Society
Good evening ladies and gentlemen, As we continue to strive for the betterment and improvement of this society, we want to encourage all of the members to be active and to help build this society. We understand that some came from the previous site and some were present when the Gentleman’s Lounge became The Society Of Ordinary Gentlemen, the purpose of the change was to help build and promote not just a community but a society and and a lifestyle of ladies and gentlemen. There is no set formula to achieve this but there are standards and values that have been present. But we also would like to hear from the members of what you would like to see and topics that you would like to explore and discuss. We would like hear good and positive feedback, we are not looking to hear finger pointing or blaming, or how things use to be. Yes things have changed for the better not to say that things were bad in the past but to better in the ways of improvement. One of the key points we are looking to is host more Society Lounges, and also when a board member is online to open up a live feed, where members can come into the lounge to visit, ask questions , offer suggestions, or just get to know members. So please take a few minutes and give us your thoughts, and what you would like to see. We cannot guarantee that all an ideas will be used, or placed into practice right away. But we will take all of them into consideration. Thank you im advance.

@Jacques Therrien this is exactly what we are talking about, no one said you cannot give constructive criticism, but this twisting everything someone post is the issue to which you always find a way to do. constructive criticism can be positive, nowhere did is say it could not be. We asked for positive feedback meaning what will help this society move forward and grow and bring substance to this society. Whenever one of the board members reaches out to you in a DM to discuss things, you will not respond but your quick to post publicly. Why don't you start being part of the solution and not part of the problem.

📻World Radio Day📻 More than just a blast from the past, radios are a window to the world with music, news, and talk shows to keep you informed and entertained. The world used to be a much bigger place, at least when you consider the difficulty involved with transmitting information from place to place. In the beginning, we simply had to walk and talk to one another, and then we were able to write and exchange letters. Ideas and music traveled the world at a snail’s pace as compared to today. But then the radio was invented, and suddenly transmitting ideas hundreds of miles became a relatively trivial matter! The world became connected, and it would never be the same. Let’s celebrate World Radio Day and show appreciation for the connectedness this technology has offered!

Are We Doing Our Part?
Good morning ladies and gentlemen, One thing that I have noticed when it comes to people, people are quick to complain about situations but they did nothing to prevent, change it, or offer an alternative. For example, people complain about the election but did not vote. Some will say I did vote; okay, let’s look at this for a moment. When that person first started his career, did you pay attention to his platform? Or let’s look at work, people complain about the new rule or policies, did you voice your thoughts or opinions in the company suggestion box? When they were talking about problems leading up to this policy did you speak up? Let’s look at laws, people complain about laws, but when they were being discussed in legislation did you attend rallies, when a bill was on the docket before it was passed did you voice your opinion? What’s my point? This is the point, as ladies and gentlemen in this world we live in we have to be aware of the things around us that involve us directly or indirectly. A lot of laws, and decisions are being made around us everyday and we fail to either pay attention or care until they become in effect, then we want to complain about them. This is a critical time for most of us as we get older and are going to rely on the next generation to take over. This means we need to be active in what is happening around us, the next generation coming up they may not have values and morals. So we need to be teaching them the correct ways and how to live, and to make a better future. If we all wait for the next person to get involved or do something then no one will or the wrong people will step up and take over. Let’s make a conscious effort to stay informed and be present in the things around and things that affect us.

@Stephen Arnold I totally agree the wrong person stepping up can be disastrous, which is why it’s is also important for the right people to take a stand. We both are in agreement with this, great point thank you for your perspective and insight sir.
