🧐 Wednesday debate - How to balance the different type of content
Hello, coaches! Keeping up with the content creation theme, I wanted to bring up our Wednesday debate. With the hype of being an influencer and going viral, every person who creates content should ask themselves this hard question: Do you want to be an influencer or a business owner? 📢 Higher engagement doesn't mean a higher conversion rate, and traction doesn't mean money. So the question is: How do you balance sharing viral or personal content vs educational and value-driven content in your marketing funnels? Personal stories generally get great engagement. They are relatable to your target audience and inspire them to follow a similar path. They also tend to have a larger reach and are great at building community. Nonetheless, if overused, they can come across as low in value. Educational content is great at positioning your brand as an expert in your field. It communicates the value you offer and keeps your community engaged. But it can also feel cold and repetitive if overused. How do you manage it for your own brand? I would love to hear your thoughts!

@Miguel Abascal And that's often how it is. There are a lot of stories about people who have hundreds of thousands of followers but zero clients. Finding a balance is really important, but the goal should always be converting people to clients not getting clicks. I think my ego struggles more with that than my business does 🤣

@Natalia Bussard I also think about the people I enjoy following. They're the ones who are a bit cheeky say things they probably shouldn't. They're teaching me, but I'm also having fun when I read their content. Those are good people to be inspired by, I think anyway

Today, let's take a moment to celebrate our successes and meaningful interactions on LinkedIn. Share your wins, and let's spread some positivity! Even if they never became a client, knowing that our content was valuable and actionable enough to help someone achieve their goals was incredibly rewarding. I get quite a few messages from people who are just not in a great place at work and when they tell me my posts really help them, that means a lot to me. Sometimes it can just feel like you're posting for the sake of posting and I do often wonder - is this really helping someone??? So when I get those messages it really touches me.
4 clients got jobs in the last 2 weeks!
Good for testimonials and opening more space to serve more clients!

Watched the reply and there were so many amazing nuggets in this talk. Especially the 60/40 engagement focus - I already started building some new engagement lists :-)
📊 Best Practice Thursday: Track Your Content for Success! 📊
Happy Thursday, career coaches! As we continue our journey of growth and improvement, today's focus is on a crucial aspect of content creation: tracking. Tracking your content performance is essential for understanding what resonates with your audience, identifying areas for improvement, and ultimately maximizing the impact of your efforts. So, let's dive into how you should track your content for success. 1. Build a KPI tracker for your LinkedIn to fill out weekly 2. Track Impressions, # of comments, # of shares, new followers and new leads 3. Analyze what type of content (theme and format) is performing better with your audience 4. Apply that feedback while you create your strategy for the following week! Tell us, are you currently tracking your content?

I kind of track it, but it tends to be more checking back every few weeks to see what did well so I can repurpose it. But I like your approach and I'll ask my VA if she can do it for me :-)
