I would like to apologize for the late update, but I ended up having my black suit altered, and it was done on March 3rd 2026. I have to say that I was indeed frightened, worried that the result would be terrible and eventually ruin my upcoming graduation; HOWEVER, IT TURNED OUT TO BE PERFECT! I am profoundly thankful as well for those who had helped me during that time, especially @Brian McGuire, much obliged, kind sir. Now my suit looks better on me, I can show few cm of my cuff as well. Feelin' like a million bucks Now all i need is just a hat lmao😋

Oh brother🙄
This is the worst advice I’ve seen so far. Trying to legitimize this crazy organ grinder monkey look. There are so many things wrong with this advice. Firstly if you are shorter you want a higher rise pant on a suit to elongate your body. Secondly if the button is lower on the coat it makes you look taller as well (draws eyes upward) Ralph Lauren was a master of this with his 5’5” frame. A coat should cover both your butt and your crotch and ideally there should be no shirt showing below the buttoned coat button. This has been the style of suits for well over a hundred years. It accentuates a man’s physique. This recent fashion nonsense is annoying. Buy quality. Buy timeless style, be prudent and be sharp. The other Pinterest article describes it well. Oh wow the reply is sooo long😭thank you thank youuu i am still flabbergasted tho😭aahahha so far i guess my suit is perfect, especially if we are talking about the button position and the pocket position, i have measured it and it was 2 inch above if haha yeah i guess yea it can be said that black is more popular here in Indonesia Suits are formal clothing here, so most of our politicians, religious figures, and those on formal occasions tend to use black, and almost always black ahahah yeah thanks for saying that my suit looks good if you dont mind, what other things can be changed to make it classy? besides adding a pocket square and a vest tho... i still feel that my suit is modern😭 (btw these are recent pictures i took, hope you could see it clearly than previous pics)

I will consider the first and the last tho (a big fan of a waistcoat hereee) Perhaps I will have someone to make me some more waiscoats hohoho Btw as well,, i did the combination color as well tho Having 2 suits only, i combined them so often😭 btw the first picture was already my style of 2024 its just that...somehow mine doesnt look as good as that one pic here is one example of me mixing the color hohoho

A low effort fit
Going out for an evening of stand-up comedy. Black slacks, black polo, brown sport coat. Comfy and not too warm. An easy casual outfit.

@Blake Krueger Can not agree more with this statement. Dressing like this as an 18-year-old, I can not say that I have had fewer than 10 people say I look old.😭 You know, why can not you just mind your own business eh? I am not wealthy, but am I wrong to always dress in a 3-piece suit? Obviously, a shirt and a trouser is the clothing of comfort, but the way it look? Nope Ngl I feel kinda weird when I have to go somewhere near outside my home just by wearing a shirt and a short 😭

Confusion
Evening. I am in need of some assistance and suggestions regarding my suit. I had this black suit made in 2024, and I have to say I was fatter. Now that I am skinnier, I kinda feel like this suit just....does not fit me properly, or does it? this is the picture when I button it. Personally, the unbuttoned version looks better only IF I wear the vest. Should I have this suit tailored back? I am worried as if the result disappoints, I will have no black suit left for my high school graduation next year. (More or less it looks like this). And at some point I look like a rectangle XD. It was even said that this suit makes me shorter (at some point)

Thanks for everyone who has replied and given me suggestions btw I guess its either I have it tailored and risk it getting worse, or just keep it like that you know its such a conflicted decision
