Finally healed
I've been slowly recovery from a knee injury. I walked with a cane for a few years, then a knee brace, then unaided... Last year I could just manage a 200lb deadlift before it started complaining. Yesterday was leg day. I did 4 sets of 5 at 200lbs, (plus squats, lunges, leg curls, etc) and today my knees are the only part of my lower body that isnt angry with me. My knee is finally ready to take on more weight... once the rest of my legs recover.
Keep your powder dry
I wasnt planning to buy any new clothes until spring. However my local men's wear shop had a big sale and this black silk Tommy Bahama shirt was calling my name. The price was too good to pass on. The owner's (also named Chris) eyes popped when he rung it in. Last year's model, was $200, marked down to $75. Its good to always keep some extra funds available for a good deal. This was a no-brainer

Is it self improvement if you use AI?
This morning i used Claude Pro to create a universal framework for becoming the best man you can be. (Attached text file) Then I had it create an HTML tracker, using this document for reference.) For me to personal track all 10 domains. (Im currently a 7.5 overall) Have a read over. If you like it, copy/paste the txt file into your favorite LLM and use it for your own self improvement journey... powered by AI! Ask it to make a personal tracker for you. Get it to create action plans for you to achieve your goals, a spreadsheet to track them, a diet plan, a workout schedule... whatever! AI is just a tool. Figure out how to use it to make your life better. Im discovering new ways everyday Caveat. While it is universal, this framework was designed with the OODA loop in mind. It begins by honestly Observing yourself, Orienting your focus on specific areas to improve, Deciding exactly how to improve (real measurable steps), and putting that into Action. You need to be honest and you need to actually do the work! Now, go read the text file, and OODA loop your way into a better man

@Justin O'Brien it absolutely can check that my characters are behaving according to a psychological model that I give it. I know, because it did. I got the idea from Vox Day, (economist / game designer / author) who recently released MITTENS (Mathematical Impossibility of The Theory of Evolution by Natural Selection) to scientific journals for peer review... he used AI to compare his math against the known science... hes not a biologist and yet he now has 2 best selling books on the subject. I agree, all LLMs seem to blow smoke up your butt. I tested them all and eventually found Claude to be most critical and ChatGPT the most complimentary. With a bit of training, ive turned Claude into a harsher critic. (Although its terrible at judging comedy, and probably always will be.) Its a fine tool. Im getting better at using daily.

@Justin O'Brien you're right. It wasnt a serious question. Its a kind of a joke title to my post. Self help is an oxymoron, IMO. You need something outside of yourself to help you. (A coach, a book, a mental health professional, a friend's guidace, etc...) I was sharing a way that I discovered to use AI for "self improvement' and the univeral framework that was developed in the process. Happy to hear some criticism of the framework, or otherways to use AI to make life better. Sorry for the confusion. My sense of humor is odd.
? For the gents that wear redwings
So today the gentleman that stepped into my life has a spiritual father figure gifted me a barely used pair of red wing chukka boots. Now as you know I have a side gig of cleaning/waxing and polishing boots But he told me red wing guys have some kind of strict routine they use on their boots so please educate me on what’s needed to take care of red wing boots P.s. yes this is my first pair of redwing boots

I wear steel toed red wing work boots. I occasionally use a product designed for leather interior cleaning of automobiles. (Its similar to Armor-all. I use it on my boots. It works.) Probably not what you're after, but its what I use. (My company keeps the stuff in every vehicle, so its handy, free, and it seems to do a good job cleaning and protecting my boots)
