A Book Is an Asset That Pays You for Years 📚💸
Most people think a book is a one-time launch. But a well-positioned book? It keeps working long after you hit publish. When your book is on Amazon, it’s out there 24/7 — being discovered, bought, and read by people you’ve never met. You’re not trading time for money… your book is doing the selling for you. That’s the power of treating your book like a digital asset. It can generate ongoing royalties, bring in new leads, and introduce people to your business months even years after you create it. One book can continue opening doors without you constantly promoting it. And when it’s aligned with a topic that has real demand, that’s when it compounds. I’ve personally generated over six figures self-publishing part-time, and one of the biggest shifts for me was realizing my books weren’t just projects… they were long-term assets building momentum in the background. Inside my FREE masterclass, Turn Pages into Paychecks, I’m showing you how to create a book that doesn’t just launch… but continues to sell, attract, and grow your income over time. By showing you my framework for validating a topic idea with demand. 📅 April 20th at 6:30 PM Central Time ⚠️ Not recorded 🎁 Live giveaways for those who attend If you want to create something once that can keep paying you for years… this is for you. 👉 Join KDP PUBLISHING

@Mk Duma Hey everyone, I haven't been as responsive. I'm traveling on vacation right now with some friends in Las Vegas; however, between ebooks and paperbacks, I always try to push to paperback because I'm making better royalties on that. But yes to what @Sybil Hall said I actually make money on the audiobook side, it can really depend on your niche.

@Mk Duma @Sybil Hall I actually think books are making a comeback. Barnes and Noble is opening a brand-new huge location in downtown Chicago, so apparently there's a big market for books. I've been hearing that Barnes and Noble has been opening a lot more locations, and I think that sucks for small bookshop owners, but at the same time it shows that there is a surge in demand for books.

Hot Take: Moms Need Vacations Too + AI Style
I’m sharing something a little personal here… but I think it’s important, especially for anyone building something while also being a parent. One thing I do to avoid burnout is take what I call “mom vacations.” I try to do this quarterly—sometimes it’s just a night alone in a hotel, other times it’s a full solo trip. It gives me space to reset, think, and honestly just breathe for a minute. Next Wednesday, I’m heading to Las Vegas 🎉I’m meeting up with some college friends, going to a rock festival, and just letting myself have fun and recharge a bit. Also… this part made me laugh 😂I decided to try something new and used AI as my personal stylist. I asked it to create an edgy but still flattering concert outfit for my body type—and it generated an image I actually loved. So I recreated the outfit in real life. Now I need your honest opinion…What do you think? 👀🔥

@Mk Duma Hmm, I don't know if it will fly because I think a lot of the moms think the dads are on vacation every day. 😆😆 Not in all cases, but I'm pretty sure Survey says moms believe they are doing much more of the child responsibilities.
A Note to Myself
Dear Sybil, Lately you’ve been forgetting things. Losing words mid-sentence. Walking into a room and pausing. Making small mistakes that make you stop and wonder what’s going on. And it’s easy to look at that through a harsh lens and think something is wrong with you. But what if that lens isn’t accurate? What if this is a shift… hormones changing, yes, and also a brain that has been holding a lot for a long time without enough space to recover. You’ve already been trying to adjust. So maybe this is about going further, taking your own advice to keep going. Double check your calendar times. Write more down each day, by hand. Make journaling and meditation a daily practice, not something you get to when there’s time. This is how you support yourself in this season. You don’t need to push harder. You need to work in a way your brain can trust and keep going! With you in it, Sybil
