If you’re feeling stuck in weight or fat loss
When you eat too little for too long, your body doesn’t think, “Great, fat loss!” It thinks, “We’re not getting enough — protect us.” And it lowers energy use. That’s why when you eat 1,200–1,400 calories you may feel stuck, tired, bloated, and frustrated. You aren’t failing — you are under-fueled, and your body has adapted. Here’s the simple truth — at any age: • A calorie surplus leads to weight gain • A calorie deficit leads to weight loss But how your body responds to calories is not static. Your metabolism is influenced by: • How much you eat over time • How much muscle you have • How well you sleep • How much stress you carry • How consistently you move (not just workouts), but getting up regularly from your desk or couch and intentionally moving more overall throughout the day When fuel stays too low, your body adjusts: – Resting energy drops – Hunger signals get louder – Daily movement decreases without you noticing – Fat loss slows or stalls This doesn’t mean something is “wrong” with you. It means your body is doing exactly what it’s designed to do.. keep you alive. This is hard to explain and to understand because it gets counterintuitive —The issue often isn’t just calories. It’s helping your metabolism feel safe enough to work again by… • Eating enough (consistently) • Building and protecting muscle • Sleeping and recovering • Managing stress • Being honest — not perfect — about your calorie intake and overall habits So instead of asking, “Why isn’t this working for me?” Try getting curious: 👉 Am I actually fueling enough — consistently?👉 Am I tracking with honesty, or guessing? 👉 Am I prioritizing muscle, sleep, and recovery? 👉 Have I been under-eating longer than I realize? You don’t need all the answers today. This is nuanced. It’s layered. And that’s why support, education, and individualized guidance matter and can help you get unstuck. If this sparks questions — ask them. Curiosity is usually the first sign you’re getting closer to the real solution 💛

Yess! Another 💥💯 Not eating does not equal weight loss. And eating everything is not the answer either. Sorry, but the "I haven't eaten anything yet" at 3pm makes me cringe! That NEVER works for weight loss. EVER! Fuel your body and it will work for you!
Momentum draining
Sometimes I wake up with every intention of working out. Get my energy drink and get dressed to work out. Then, I take the dog out and start cleaning or organizing or anything and before I know it, baby is up, husband is up and the day is starting without my workout being done. I'm posting this because I'm hoping to break this habit! Virtual gym and hitting play in 5 minutes! That will allow me to have a little more of my energize and get the gym set up. I have been LOVING my results (for both my mind and body) don't want to lose that momentum! Sweaty selfie coming up....

Monday Arms/Legs2
Did the workout, took the pictures. Never posted 🤦‍♀️ My family is dealing with a pretty heavy load right now (my big kids dad needed emergency open heart surgery). So, my days are a bit....everywhere.... right now. Let my older son stay home from school to have some time away from it all. Positive vibes and surrounded by lots of love since he's missing his dad so much. My legs and butt on that move where you sit on the bench then stand to do a curl....OUCH! So thankful to have something for me that fills my cup for me to be able to be there for my family right now!

Cookies!
Just showing up to say that I ate cookies tonight with my sleepytime hot chocolate. I have been hungry today and my craving would not be satisfied with anything else… I’d rather give myself a portion to enjoy rather than taunt myself all night. My goa isn’t weight loss - so keep in mind my actions are not aligned with needing to skip cookies. If your goals are different and you’re pushing to achieve a weight loss goal, it may be in your best interest to determine how to achieve those goals (BY THE WAY!!!! You can eat cookies and lose weight and fat!!! YOU can plan for that!) Definitely here to stay accountable and lead by example. How are you working toward your goals this month now that we’re halfway thru??

Yes!!! This!! This is amazing! I have tried to explain a million times that I CAN eat whatever I want....because I don't do it all the time. Because I workout every morning and push myself. Because everything in moderation can be enjoyed. Because it aligns with MY goals. BUT, sacrifices are still being made, even if it's hard to see sometimes. Thank you for being such a great and honest leader. Have the cookie....don't make it a habit to eat a sleeve of Oreos before bed (or do, but know that you are taking a step back if your goal is extreme weight loss).

He started to wake up as I was cooling down! 💪 So happy I got this chest workout in. Always makes me feel so much better. And now I'm able to be 100% up and moving for my little sir. Thank you @Amanda Steele for being on the virtual gym when I got on! Always helps to see another human on this journey with me! You truly lead by example and I am beyond grateful 🔥❤️
