Challenges come in different forms and sometimes we might prevent ourselves from moving forward. I’m pleased that YouTube has given me an opportunity to grow my visibility and extend my reach. This is especially true in my retirement years during these hard economic times. I also thank you for giving me the opportunity to share my updates and this additional tidbit of information. Since I can’t always make it to the Coffee Chats, I wanted to touch on this topic with a personal video. I had to change my YouTube frame of mind in order to gain confidence. This video style will be edited and adapted to be more suitable for a specific audience. It’s still a learning process for me. I hope that this example will be somewhat helpful to anyone on this group who does not know where to start. 💓

Aprilynn Alter is a content creator who is different to the "gurus" Her channel has 132K subscribers with almost 5M views. She was a speaker at VidCon Her 90 Day Step-by-Step Channel Growth system is free; however, she has had so many requests from viewers that she has decided to create a cohort for this challenge, where people who buy the cohort (almost $2000) get to go through the steps, submit their work and receive feedback from April or one of her team. She also has playlists that are a Pandora's box for content creators. I have uploaded some pictures to show what im talking about. I don't consider her a guru or a mentor, i consider her someone who knows what she's talking about, does the research and shares what she has learned in a down-to-earth way. I would say she is one of my top 4 creators, along with Kevin Kolbe, Sean Kitching and everybody's favourite Canadian, Rob the Maritimer.

This may be noteworthy to consider. Sometimes there are reasons beyond our control why we may be getting less views. A recent major Verizon outage happened. It hindered mobile data and impacted public safety communications. This meant (for Verizon customers) there was no data available to even access YouTube. Hello Everyone! Apryllynne's challenge sort of got clogged up for me, especially since I am doing Vlogmas next which is going well over doubling my number of videos. I have learned a lot from her, but for now I am learning from Alexa S's 30 Days and learning a bunch from her. Also, in big news I crossed to 500 Subscribers earlier today. Tomorrow I will make a celebratory short about it. Weird thing about me is... I have a hard time believing in myself when good things happen. I keep thinking it's a mistake.
