That tiny moment when the coffee tastes good, the cat decides your lap is acceptable, the sun feels nice, or for once nobody needs anything from you.
Notice it. And then stay there for a few seconds longer.
That’s savoring.
And when you start practicing it, something funny happens: suddenly there seem to be more good moments. They were there all along. Your problem-solving brain was just too damn busy running the Department of Everything That Needs Fixing to notice them.
So when life is good for a minute, don’t immediately run off to improve it.
