NSDR or Yoda Nidra
In this 10-minute meditation, Stanford neuroscientist Andrew Huberman of HubermanLab guides you through a Non-Sleep Deep Rest protocol (NSDR) to enhance the learning process by reducing day-time fatigue and improving focus. It can also greatly enhance your sleep, boost your mood, and promote Neuroplasticity - the ability of your brain to change and grow.

Can you relate?
Sometimes, I catch myself not being gentle, especially when it comes to my voice. I come from a loud family. In their defense, they have no idea they’re yelling. I’m pretty quiet compared to them and some still think of me as loud. That is until I am near my kitty. Then my voice automatically turns soft and gentle and not at all loud. So, obviously I can moderate, but seldom do I remember. Something within me believe there are teachers who can help me. So, I’ve been thinking of going on a silent retreat hosted by monks in the tradition I follow. In the meantime, I made this contemplative meditation on the manatee in hopes that it’ll help me and perhaps others who feel the need to be reminded of the benefits of gentleness

SLOTHS: Strength in Stillness
🙏Grateful for the meditation of being
Some of you already know that I was kidnapped a few years ago. It was a terrifying experience, and it still feels surreal to say it out loud. And while it was traumatic, I’m aware that things could have unfolded in far darker ways if it weren’t for one attribute. One of the reasons I made it through with my mind intact was my meditation practice. At the most frightening moments, when I didn’t know what would happen next, I closed my eyes, turned inward and held onto one simple truth: Just breathe. All things are temporary. Just be and breathe. While I was meditating this morning I thought about the Wild Wisdom video on Transformation. If ladybugs are sentient, metamorphosis must be traumatizing. Yet, the Ladybug has perseverance. Find a comfortable spot. Let your body rexax. Take a deep cleansing breath and check out the video below. Feel free to let us know your thoughts in the comments. May your day be peaceful. 🪷
What if love was about balance?
Contemplating nature’s lessons always feels like a quiet blessing to me. I’m often humbled to bear witness to such wisdom. In this video nature offers a meditation from the ocean. Can you imagine a more co-operative and communal world? Do we really need power and competition? Pls feel free to comment. 🙏
