🙏Grateful for the meditation of being
Some of you already know that I was kidnapped a few years ago. It was a terrifying experience, and it still feels surreal to say it out loud. And while it was traumatic, I’m aware that things could have unfolded in far darker ways if it weren’t for one attribute.
One of the reasons I made it through with my mind intact was my meditation practice.
At the most frightening moments, when I didn’t know what would happen next, I closed my eyes, turned inward and held onto one simple truth:
Just breathe. All things are temporary. Just be and breathe.
While I was meditating this morning I thought about the Wild Wisdom video on Transformation. If ladybugs are sentient, metamorphosis must be traumatizing. Yet, the Ladybug has perseverance.
Find a comfortable spot. Let your body rexax. Take a deep cleansing breath and check out the video below.
